Given what Norman said, here's the Occam's Razor explanation:
- MASTERs are the best clan on conventional templates so they just play what's good/what they like/what's considered strategic
- M'Hunters are playing Moneyball so they instead focus on getting really good on neglected templates (or at least templates that good players neglect)

It seems the fix for this inefficiency (if we really care... I mean CW results are a meme anyway and if it becomes perfectly competitive it becomes perfectly boring) is to change CW matchmaking and get rid of the single-template sign-up model + the greedy matchmaking in favor of something that makes matchups less predictable and more interesting.

Let me help you with that good whistleblower.

Why are you trying to create unnecessary drama @Kratt. Stop creating rubish forums and demeen a clan. If Masters dont like SE, then that doesnt mean that they are avoiding MH. And if MH like only SE, that doesnt mean that MH are trying to avoid masters. You dont get to see which clan is playing which template at the time you register.

This is a good example for how evolution can work. 1 clan has the supremacy here. A 2nd clan is strong as well, but would likely be down in the direct comparison with the other clan. So they find an other niche where they can live in and live well qnd develop their own strength. If there is another niche left there might be a 3rd clan to live well. But if not then the 3rd clan has to find something else. Maybe this clan goes to the forums and complains there about the other 2. ;P

EDIT1: (evolution is a bit different though but separation in niches is an important factor therefore)

EDIT2: although i prefer more strategic templates in general like FB and Gurioma, i prefer to play SE templates on CW. Because I dont need to face good players, that are better in real timing this templates than me. I prefer to play easier opponents that I get on Small Earth to get a better result for my clan. Thats my part occupying niches.

fizzer should just let us have an FFA with all the territory we win and all clans duke it out then we cna take out our angers on clans we dont like

well that would just make the winning clans less winning. this would shift the focus away from winning games to just PR

This is the first slot in a looong time where both clans join the same template in mass (I'm talking about 5+ members).

Did I stir something up?

There are 3 templates, of those MH players you see sitting to play the only one with 2v2 ladder skills is me, at top 10 with 1 run. I'd be wasted by any Masters pair there, so i just don't play that 2v2 and neither do the rest of my clan mates. The other is commanders LD which is either a quick win/loss if someone messes up picks or you're looking at 45mins++ of constant clicking and local deploy. There are 2 GG and a Masters there, so that would be 3 long games that we're quite happy to just not play that template!
From Masters side, probably about the same considerations knowing that if they choose 2v2 and find an MH pair the game will take 45mins++... or they play commanders LD and take 45mins++
So we're all squashed into SE1W

Everyone else thought the same with 36/42 choosing SE1W!

Yes, of course the #4 ranked CL clan is on average better than the #11 ranked clan (going by CL). Or the #1 better than the #2 (going by CW). That's exactly why we try to not play against them. Do you always use this flawless logic in your games?

Course, the more times we play each other. The better it is for you.
Masters and MH maybe get 30 games a day each, if we avoid each other then TSFH have 60 games to avoid. If Masters and MH duke it out in 2v2 and leave you free to play the other templates you'd run away with a season.
