sorry for doublepost. The site crashed for me and after i clicked post again, it turned out the first attempt to post was succesful, even despite the crash :/

cogo - the question about prerequisites is not applicable to the top clans i think. Usually those clans will not consider at all, and automatically reject any player below 50% 1v1 2v2 3v3 and some decent number of games played (500?) but it doesnt mean that by meeting those you will get in. There are many players who pumped up their statistics, and have around 90% winrate in 1v1 2v2 3v3 and more than 3000 games played, but would not be accepted to WM, nor other elitist clans.. Most if not all the clans now have the prerequisite fro bootrate - you will not get in if you have (wild guess) 10%, maybe more, maybe less depending on the clan.. but generally winrate + bootrate + amount of games played is the first thing the clans look at, then it's opinion about yourself, then are the recruitment games (in some clans you have to win those, in other you may lose, but have to prove in them that you know how to play)

and finally - it's very good that you ask all those questions before being really interested in joining any clan. saves you from disappointment after potential wrong choice, and makes you better informed and prepared for the future in case you change your mind.. :) good luck and have fun on warlight!

Since the topic is open i want to ask more questions as it seems you guys dont mind answering.

Does this game offer a secret forum for clans to maybe use to discuss different topics with clan memebers or are you guys using off site forums for this ?

Maybe no one is even using forums but then how do you communicate to clan members and get them to like joing games and stuff as i thing just sending invited to clan tournaments or invites to random games is a bit pointless to be in a clan unless something holding them together.

cogo - the topic was brought many times, but there is no such tool on warlight yet. the clans use chat-games or tournaments where all clanmates, or a division of a clan is invited to - not to play it, but to chat in it.. it sort of has to be enough for the time being.. some clans on the other hand use third party forums, communicators like skype or msn, or their own sites but i am not sure how succesful that is. I know regl and old #elite! used that.. We definitely lack such built-in system in warlight which would make it possible to interact more, make clan-only forums, and make official clantags restricted or recognize ranks for different access/authorisation levels in clans etc.. but Fizzer (warlight's creator) is working hard on improving this site, and lots of things are implemented over time - maybe soon we will have those as well.

idfdoggy, when you were in Warlighters I agree, not many improved greatly from just that clan. However, Warlighters has changed a lot since then and players are improving (e.g. people go to Lighters then after a couple of months get good enough to join Warlighters).

@Arun - I am not idfdoggy and if you would bother to read what i wrote with understanding, you would realize that I have not been to any clan before WM as i clearly stated in my posts so i simply cannot be him. My fellow clanmate idfdoggy, now part of WM for a few months already, was in warlighters a long time ago - true, but i doubt his skill has anything to do with playing with your clan especially when if you look closer at his profile you will realize that between being in {w} and advancing to [WM] he was searching for a proper clan adn joined some others. BTW I do see your clan has come a long way since, but it's still nowhere near to any elitist clans, and improving from {lighter} to {warlighters} is NO acomplishment whatsoever given the fact {w} has introduced recruitment minima, which are so low, that practically everyone who is not retarded and at least 12yo after 50 games would meet (and as much as 50 just because as far as i know that is the minimum games played stat you accept). I would dare to say that taking as long as COUPLE OF MONTHS to improve from {l} to {w} is a failure. I bet i could succesfully teach to improve any {lighter} to {warlighter} level in less than a week, if not in 1,2 or 3 games provided he would be willing to learn and would understand english. The fact you have had a few good players like Warlightvet (in [WG] now because {w} was just not good enough i guess.. ) and bragging about having some multiaccounts of better players in clan doesn't change the fact of what the nature of your clan is. I bet those multis joined your clan for one of four reasons: 1) because of sentiment, maybe that was their first account 2) as a joke 3) to play more easy games for relax or my favourite (and i really hope it's the case) 4) to finally help you improve your members' gameplay, because say what you want, but after all warlight is an online GAME, so PLAYING the game is or at least should be the main thing.. If there was any other reason, this player(s) would not try to hide themselves and would at least admit they are in {w}. What point to have a clan in a game you can't play on a reasonable level? You are not elitist, nor have ever been, and the average skill of a {w} is far below average and I say it once again: instead of bragging about how you changed over the last few years, you should work harder on improving the clan itself. Or if you don't aim for higher skill of your members, just stop your petty attempts on stating that your players are good, because it's a blatant lie and you know it. You could instead write on forum other advantages of {warlighters} like how much your clan is active etc (which is true - you are active in many tournaments and interclan events that you or other {w}s organize for lower tier clans - you have some other advantages as well, but please - i'm not going to think for you and advertise your clan..) and you should be trying your best to avoid some statements and leave skill as far away from the discussion as possible, because neither admitting you are (like) beginners nor lying about being opposite simply does not do you any good.

and yes, I am calm even though sometimes my posts may sound different :)

I never said we are elitist :) I never said idf doggy was good because of us (quite the opposite). Our average skill level is above average; when our best were pitted against REGL's best, it was a close competition (which ended last week). We are doing fairly well in the Clan league. Warlightvet is still a member of the Clan of Warlighters (he is even Second-in -Command). He mentioned our single multi as a joke (he is no longer with us anyway). Our members do improve as they play and we enjoy ourselves doing it; what's not to like. Some of our better members agree to tutor others, helping them improve. The reason Lighters take 20 days minimum to change is because thats the shortest time allowed in order for them to change their names!

May I ask why you took the time to attack our clan so vigorously? I did nothing to offend you or your clan....

Sorry for multiposts but i feel any clan that has a bad rep should just rename itself much like how elite changed to relite after all there are certain thread about the old elite and beelzebub the old leader. Warlighters(stupid unoriginal name since we are all warlighters) should change to something like Warkings {Wk} or something esle.

I would like to state once again that our "bad reputation" was not the primary reason for us to change the name.
You might say bad but I'm pretty sure that the bad reputation was mostly due to the arrogant attitude of some of it's members and not purely on the fact that people deemed us weak players.

The reason we changed our name in fact was due to internal affairs and the splitting up with the old leaders (Beelze and such).
Since the ones who had originally invented the name and run the alliance were gone, it just made sense to not keep the same old name but to get a new one.
