So, which clans would you like to see play each other.
Mine:
Apex vs wm vs wg. Lets find out who's second best once and for all!
Gg vs lynx. Battle of the two largest "elite" clans. Ggs been better in the past, but has lynx improved enough to upset gg?
Ahol vs masters. Ahols came on strong lately. But the masters will still be quite a challenge.
Viw vs French. Battle of the big clans. French has more talent at the top imo, but I think viw has more depth.
Warlighters vs xs. Small clan battle. Warlighters will be underdogs in this battle, but they could surprise.
Gg vs wm. lots of hate from gg towards wm. both clans believe the other is inferior. Lets see them back up their talk.

We did have a large clan team battle with French Community once, this was the result of it: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=5625968 (and thanks goes to Djidane for setting it up). I didn't play cause the settings didn't appeal to me at the time.

We've talked casually in the past of doing a 101st vs Warlighters style clan battle, if you remember that. I think French Community would be a good clan to play in this style. Other possibilities include REGL, BR, "G", USW. Lynx also probably has enough players.

As always, it's real life that gets in the way of big plans like these :)

And JSA, stop underestimating Warlighers, you have seen their lineup right? Ekstone and timon/Panda as anchors = formitable clan. You may see them in group A in clan league next season.

I know the warlighters better than most I bet. I said they would be underdogs because I constantly hear people say xs is good, and I personally think warlighters is every bit as good and would surprise.

JSA WarLighters, with everyone active, could have a good run against XS. Maybe not win but definitely come close.

My proof: I've argued about XS's capability before and I was a WarLighter for about 1 & 1/2 years.

Anchors? Timon and Ekstone? I might be misunderstanding you, but if you're suggesting they're the worst members and bringing the rest of the clan down, I'm not sure I follow how you have reached that conclusion.

Good Kid, anchors hold a ship in position. In a clan, anchors would be our backbone. We have other good players though! I know nothing about xs but in fairness, JSA is pretty fair about us in general nowadays. We will try to prove ourselves in the Clan League - why we are placed in these lists under clans we are beating fairly easily is a mystery to me though.

Yeah, unfortunately Anchor has a dual meaning. In track and field, the anchor leg (last leg) of a relay is usually your strongest player. On the other hand, I have used the word anchor to suggest a person is dead weight as well.

Perhaps a different adjective would have been better.

Here's an interesting 1v1 idea for teams of odd number of players, where each player from one team plays every other player from the other team. 9 total games for 3 player teams, 25 games for 5 player teams, 49 games for 7 player teams. Basically a team version of 1v1 RR.

You could probably do the same thing with team games, where the teams are made up of the permutations of the players. Doesn't really scale well though, larger teams could net a TON of games.

Also combining 1v1 with team games would underweight the team games, if you do a davis cup style format. Teams of 2 means 4 1v1 matches and 1 2v2 match. Teams of 3 mean 9 1v1, 9 2v2, and just 1 3v3 (which i guess would only be played as a tiebreaker). Though having it end in a tie could be cool too.

Just some thoughts.
