I won a battle royal game, and won the Rank 1st award.
And now won a second battle royal game, and won nothing but now I can see that Rank 2nd award already earned.

This is ok?
I mean, I have to be exactly in second position to win that award and if I have 1st then I loose it?

And now a 4th place without any rewards...
The message said I got a reward, but nothing sand I could scrape off the artifact...
And the reward page said, I already got it (before the game it shows as a not gotten one)

1st = epic artifact
2nd = 100 AP
3rd = rare artifact
4th = ?
5th = ?

so for you 2nd place, you wouldn't have gotten a reward you can claim, but just gotten it when you closed the game

as for missing artifacts, a lot more players seem to be having issues with getting them, so you should probably report that to fizzer

If 2nd place reward is 100 AP and auto claimed when we close the game, then no issue for me (I think, I got those 100 AP, checking my AP balance).

4th place reward maybe similar than the second one (not necessary claim).

Don't confuse your BP rewards with your battle placement rewards.

So I just got 3rd and was told I would get Inspire Mercenaries but it hasn't appeared. Every other award I've gotten immediately. If I don't get it right away does that mean it's bugged and I'm out of luck? Or do some rewards take time to dribble in?

Sometimes special items take a few minutes to get put in your inventory in Idle. I've had times where I've gotten rewards from the coin wheel or GC raffles, and the reward took up to 10 minutes to process.

I received all rewards from positions 1 - 5 and battle points rewards up to 800 without any problems.
