Are there any other programs besides Inkscape for svg/Warzone? Very user unfriendly.
Inkscape is giving me a hard time. One minute zoom is on the + and - key, next minute, zoom is the scroll wheel. Other functions, such as move, change controls. Ninja's tutorial doesn't help at all, as he speeds through half of it. Frustrating.

Ninja, please update your tut. Add more explanation and detail. No fast forwarding either.

As for Inkscape alternatives, any other program you can use to create SVGs might be able to create an SVG that Warzone Maps use, depending on how feature-complete the programs are. (https://alternativeto.net/software/inkscape/)

If you plan to check out one of the alternatives, consider going through the SVG requirements (territory numbering, being able to create bonus links as individual objects, etc.) to make sure the software can create the same type of SVG output that Warzone expects in a map.

The eraser actually paints red. C'mon man, really?

It doesn't paint red. It just shows you red lines until you release the click, so you can see what would be erased so far. Unlike Paint/etc., it doesn't erase live but waits until after you release to do the erase operation in one step.

When I let go, it left a red line.

inkscape is free, open-source and cross-platform. software doesn't get much better than that, but as others pointed out there are always alternatives

I tried Krita. It's worse. Kritas function of Freepath doesn't work. Draw a line anyway which way you want, and Krita straightens the lines and smooths the curves. Not exactly freepath.

Sounds like a bug. Inkscape is a bit buggy at times for sure.

Ok two things:

1 - Sorry Ninja, I was watching the new video. However, Upon watching the older video, I find it more informative.

2 - I re-installed Inkscape. It was acting strange earlier.

You should try making a map in Inkscape.
