This level is the first one after the tutorial and it took me 8 hours to complete it (without buying anything).
It might just be my opinion, but it feels too long for a first level.
I feel like we should add an intermediary level before it, something that can be completed in 1h or 2h. Otherwise the curve might be too steep for some.

I feel like its missing a bunch of smelters.

you have a bunch of mines giving lots of ore, but so far I only found 1 smelter. More smelters = more bars & less ore. Since you need bars for Techs, you just can't progress fast enough without more smelters. Bars also sell for more so you can afford the expensive upgrades a little bit faster.

Having more smelters would make that game just a lot faster....

It is the same for everyone.

There is a second smelter on the Castles level.

I think the fact that you have more ore than you can use for smelters is a feature, not a problem.

However, I agree with rak, a first level should be faster without paying for stuff.

Yeah, I think of the lack of smelters (or their inefficiency) as a feature too.
That tells you you don't need to upgrade your copper mines, and you should sell your copper ore directly.

Totally agree. I am a fan of difficult challenges but starting easy to draw people in is a good tactic and make the challenges harder as you progress. Don't forget to always advertise warzone. Got hooked playing the tutorial just now but it is very addicting. I like it. Already upgraded my command post to lvl 2 on the castle waiting for the treasure cache.

Are those random spawns? I feel like some things should be more randomized or it feels like you're being strung along. Enjoy the experience and have to say it is well planned, well executed.

According to Fizzer, 8 hours is quite fast, because you aren't exactly meant to look over your Warzone Idle game.

That's why it's called "idle", you're meant to leave and then come back a few hours later.
