How do we know what maps are currently being made? is there a forum? I'd hate to make a map that someone else is in the progress of making.

Well, people know me and I am very average so what i think tends to be what others think as well.

For instance, I wanted a map of the Baltics and a couple weeks later a guy publishes it. I want a map of the Balkans but don't want to make it if someone is already in progress of making one. I was planning on making one but couldn't find a map of the balkans with administrative districts because i want it to be relatively large.

I got sidetracked and made a 13 territory strategic map of Saxony.

I'd love a map of saxony, but I feel like 13 territories are a bit too much for a strategic game :/

My maps in progress usually stay "in progress" for a year or so.
I'm a bit slow.

Currently still working on a map of 16th century West Africa.
I doubt anyone else would accidentally make it before me :)

I think being able to see the maps in progress would actually harm your idea. I feel like people would copy maps that are in process if they were visibile to the public
