Your swimming relay story isn't a great analogy. There is an actual deterrent for cheating in there and it is known up front. Also, I am sure those teams test their participants also. How would you have a clan leader test for alts? Unless Fizzer gives all clan leaders the ability to find out if alts exist, we have no tools to prevent deception.

Better story. Anyways, my opinion on this doesn't change from last clan league. Strip the points from desi is the best way to do it imo. However you're all going to decide on just banning MoD from the next Clan League. Whatever. To MoD:

You can't even check IP's though. Lot of people play mobile and I take my turns at neighbors, home, McDonalds, etc. Alts are dumb. I can understand making a new account and making it your main account and no using the other (what i did).

Lolo - problem with stripping points is we discussed that for WM/GG last season and everyone opposed it. So how can you do it now? My biggest concern here is MOD is in the clan with the commissioner of the league (Miyagi). Did he know and allow it anyway?

He can be the president of the universe for all I care, if you allow one there will be utter chaos soon enough..

MoD mentioned he asked 5 players for advice about the MoD-desi game on seasonal and what to do with desi acc and i know 3 of the players from the 5 are blitz so i assume the other 2 are masters. Since Miyagi is in lead of masters together with TWM i am assuming they are the ones who knew about it as well.
After that i would say it's the mistake of Miyagi (if my assumption is correct) since he knew about the fact that MoD and desi are the same but also MoD himself for a part since he didn't know/forget about the fact he could only play for 1 clan.

MoD himself on holiday now so he can't really confirm anything at the moment.

Here Wohoo is mentioning something about the picks of GreenTea which i don't think is something a casual player would say but a more experienced player.

Also, how can it be that it's already the fifth clan league and still there are no set rules and penalties for violating them written down?
There are already so many grey areas in the WL rulebook, no need for more in specific competitions.

There are rules. No alts allowed.

What is not set are the penalties, because nobody broke that rule until last season.

We discussed it and the majority wanted not to strip the points. It can be changed/established that all games are auto lost, but that also opens up another can of worms. Intentional sabotage (forcing a clan to lose all their points by joining it with an alt).

Stripping points from games does not punish the player, it punishes the clan (who may or may not know). Better to ban/suspend the player IMO.

MoD has always said that he plays with 2 accounts in ladders for more games. I get that and understand. The Clan Leauge has said no to doing that, whether for advantages towards a clan or for more games.


As to Wohoo, I am not sure. For now I am giving him the benafit of a doubt.

i was bored so i joined some clans with 4-5 alts, they put some in clan leauge.. now i have like 40 games going :(

Just because you suspect it was an alt doesn't mean you know who it is (could be someone not playing their main). If someone has proof that it was known prior to the league starting, please let us know. ~ChrisCMU


Lets say Hypothetically Wohoo is Dutch Desire. He is only playing 1 tournament for GG and 2 tournaments for Turtles.




Perhaps playing with an alt shouldn't be banned. Could we change the rule for next season that whether you use an alt or a main account you can play for any clan you belong to so long as you don't exceed the maximum 4 tournaments per player rule?????

I am discussing this with JSA/Apollo/Miyagi right now via mail. Miyagi has said he will not participate though as MOD is in his clan. I will continue to check here for ideas though.

I can confirm me, jeff, potato, TWM and mod himself (maybe a few more, i dunno) knew about the desi-mod thing, but chose to keep it a secret so he could play as a member of blitz, as well as masters. He originally made the desi account to get the "invite a player to warlight"-achievement. Then he wanted some more games with 'another community' (which was blitz), so he asked to join us. He told it was him, and since we knew him well, we couldn't say no. After a few weeks the Clan League came up, and we had some issues with inactive members and some shitcrap, and we knew he was hungry for more competitive games, so we discussed it, and figured why not. We placed him a few places in our lineups, and didn't really see it as a huge crime, since we are in the lowest group and was guaranteed promotion to group b next season anyways (at least 97% sure). Also Masters was in another group. If we was in same group as them, we would not allow him.

I would understand if you want to punish us. Of course I would prefer that we could work out a better solution.
And when it comes to Mod, don't punish him. Im the one who wrote him on our lineups.
