Neither the title nor the first post of this thread are false. They are in fact exactly what they appear to be, by all accounts.

It's like if I said that my teeth are false - that would be a false statement, because my teeth are not false.

No, it's not. It's a version of the liar's paradox that I wanted to share.

Other versions:

"This statement is false."

"The following statement is false.
The preceding statement is true."

and so on...

Since both threads of this type that I made don't seem to be much appreciated, I'll stop.

You said "the title of this thread is false", you didn't say "the title of this thread is a false statement."

The first post should actually say:

"The title of this thread is true."

Then you get your "paradox".

This.. would lead to a loop. Title is false, post is true, title is true, post is false, title is false, post is true, title is true, post is false, title is false, post is true, title is true, post is false, title is false...

OR...

Title is true, post is false, title is false, post is true, title is true, post is false, title is false, post is true, title is true, post is false, title is false, post is true, title is true, post is false, title is false, post is true, title is true...

nothing is true, nothing is false. that is what a paradox is. something in the middle perhaps?
