Unlike what i just said these wars are tecnically winnable but the way america is trying to combat them accually makes them stronger.

on war on drugs the attacked the supply not the demand which just made it worse as it got higher in price and an average drug user just had to pay more for it.secondly using drugs like weed shouldnt sent you to jail this will only prevent or worse case scenerio would make the problem worse as they cant progress anymore in life so they turn into crime.

how should have the us tackled this problem was to make drug stations made from goverments dime to make drug selling on the streets unprofitable that way you know who uses drugs and you can rehabilitate them.this would have solved the drug problem as long as those drug stations were still open

war on terror on the other hand has a diffrent problem
it should not have been a military one
the best way to defeat terrorist is to laugh at them their basic idea is to cause terror within the populance so if the public just laughed at the terrorist it would have never given them a powerbase in anybodys mind

being happy is the opposite of being in terror so being happy and laughing at the terrorist would have worked more than any military action

@goralgn Based on your comments on this thread, I'm curious as to what your thoughts on Erdogan are. From an outsider's perspective, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Turkish_constitutional_referendum this doesn't look good. It seems as if Erdogan is undoing a lot of positive reforms that Ataturk did.

at first he was a good President up until gezi protestoları which basically the city wanted a mosque at gezi national park it was chaotic as the youth didnt want another mosque i remember reading somewhere "gezi protestocuları dozerle toma kovaladı" which was about the protestors were getting watered by the toma (idk the equivalent of ot in english) and the protestors found a digger and using that they chased the toma away.

This was the end of good erdoğan as after this he became more authoritarian and more and more extremist particularly more islamist and what i think is conservative. erdoğan himself said he doesnt believe womans deserve the same rights as men.i remember hearing that on the news and i think that was the first time i used curse words and i gave him the nickname of "the idiotic sexist dictator bastard" that i still use to this day.

this hit a peak on 15th of july 2016 where army tried to coup the goverment but first i want to explain why army tried to coup in the first place. Atatürk had given the army an order no matter what turkey must remain secular and demotratic.in 2016 army used that order to try to coup the leaders of turkey

but there is one extra chapter to this story i want to tell and that is even if turkey has lost ataturk's vision that doesn't mean vision was lost forever.

enter the child land or "yavru vatan" KKTC (Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti) Or TRNC (Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus).

TRNC Has Something That I Wish Turkey Had and That Is A Culture Which If You Believe The Authority Was Wrong (like a manager) You Can and will question it like "No (insert name of the manager) This is how are you suppose to do it" this is something turkey has forgotten and more than likely will never be seen in turkey again.

That's a pretty great video. Personally, I would've preferred Austin Petersen (Libertarian) or Rand Paul as US president. The Libertarian Party made a big mistake picking Gary Johnson as their candidate. I'd disagree with him when he talked about Rob Ford though... in spite of his personal flaws, he actually gave out his personal cell phone number to the public and cared about people. I wish his brother (now premier (governor) of Ontario) was more like him.
I don't understand why people don't do their research on which party/candidate is the best. In Canada, the Conservatives and Liberals are hardly any different, the exception being that Justin Trudeau behaves like an embarrassment internationally.

In our current American political system, the Libertarian candidate would be the spoiler candidate (Not in Maine though). If the US changed it voting system to RCV, then I could see Libertarians having a chance.
