Hi, This is just an alt

So, i am playing in a ladder. Only playing 2 games at a time
Game 1, started a week before game 2 (started 5 weeks ago)
Game 1 was won 2 weeks ago, since then the opposition has stalled taking 3 days. It's absolutely won, broke his big bonus held all others and have pushed back everywhere every turn, although with 2 turns a week it goes very slowly.
Game 2 was lost yesterday. Definitely on a downhill slope for the last week but only properly confirmed yesterday

I would like game 1's win to be scored. My rating changed and I leave the ladder
I don't want to stall game 2 because these guys did nothing wrong and it's just the gentleman in game 1 that is being difficult.

What to do?

I think Game 1 could take until the end of the month if I have to eliminate him in the corner. There was no chat so there's been no reason to stall

The only answer I've found for stalling: kick they behind. Stalling's annoying, but nothing you can really do about it except take your turns and beat them.
I personally don't get why people stall, it only delays the inevitable. Unless they are hoping you'll forget about the game and they get a boot win. But that is so unlikely, so I don't know why people do it.

but what do i do with my game 2? Do i stall that because my game 1 is stalled?
Or i should surrender game 2 and not get my highest rating?

agreed with JK. to punish them you beat them.

I assume if people stall, they are afraid of losing to you.

what to do if people don't vote to end...?

If you've lost a game, surrender it. If you stall a game because another game is being stalled, you help keep the systematic stalling intact. Link the stalled game and publicly shame them; it's currently the only tool we have.

they lost, they lost 2 weeks ago 23 income vs 38, We have full intel

But at their rate of stalling and getting to the furthest corner, it'll be 3 weeks.

@Marda:

I know stuff like that can be pretty annoying. And my honest opinion:

The rating and ranking system of the ladder is poor. If you want to know your true rating/skill, play a ton of games. Noone with a brain will judge your skill by your peak ladder rating, but the rating you can keep in the long run.

=> Surrender your games, if you feel like they are lost. It is okay to think a bit about the situation and eventually play another turn before surrendering, just to be sure, but don't delay clear losses.

He's talking about ACL Tears. He always plays slow. Also, it's a 3v3 ladder game. It takes a team to surrender, not only one person.

If you are going for the trophy on the 3v3 ladder, it's really important to avoid losses (it can take months to get the needed wins and a single loss can ruin your chances for that run). However, it's the hardest ladder to stall in as the average turn is longer across all the teams. I wish I could say that "players don't stall for trophy" but, they do all the time. I don't really see they point of stalling for anything else. Rating and rank itself just depends a lot on who is playing the ladder at that particular time.

Ultimately, it is as Krunx says, the system is quite poor and gives some pretty strong incentives to stall.

@Mysterios alt: The most important thing here is that your opponents have a nice time. So please congratulate them on their victory and move on. Even if one of the winning guys boots before you surrender, you still surrender please (since your main isn't that mysterious) .
