1v1 Strat ME WR 0%:
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=28372

17 out of 21 games finished. The tournament is near completion, with games that would determine the first place still ongoing.

LEA (Gyver) vs Blitz (master of desaster)
Both players get their first 3 picks and take their first bonus worth 4+ in two turns. However, with his 2nd bonus taking 1 turn more than that of Gyver's, mod faces trouble in West Africa. West and Central russia are just for getting card pieces for both the players and once Gyver stack breaks West africa bonus there is an income difference of 3 and then ,it is a matter of time for getting the triple border over mod's East Africa bonus-which seals up the game.

LEA (Gyver) vs HAWKS (Thor)
Thor gets his first 3 picks and Gyver gets 1,2,6. With intel on Thor's picks, Gyver decides to show at scott turn 1 and stacks up armies to deny Thor that bonus. With South East Asia taking a turn more to get to Gyver's 12 income, Thor goes for Australia and gets it-while Gyver eliminates Thor from Antarctica to take it for himself. With Gyver having double border and taking card piece every turn, Thor's bonus is broken and he surrenders.

LEA (Gyver) vs USSR (Eoinob)
Great luck for Gyver to complete Australia with all 3v2 successful attacks for first two turns while 1 3v2 attack fails for Eoinob-which denies him from completing his first bonus in turn 2; this creates a good advantage for Gyver, who builds up armies to break South America, while taking Indonesia. With big army difference and income difference Gyver wins the game.

LEA (Gyver) vs Nuke D(Tim Bennet)
Tim makes only 3 picks and luckily gets all three of them. Gyver spreads out his picks, getting intel on 2 of Tim's picks. While Tim completes FTB and takes West Russia in turn 3-he fails to grow in Europe first and take Georgia-gateway to his core, Gyver completes his three starting pick bonuses and keeps Tim busy in Caucasus. While Tim takes Greenland first and then Europe, failing to take Iran gives way to Gyver to come and break his bonuses, resulting in Tim's defeat.

Blitz (master of desaster) vs Wizards (6)
mod completes his first bonus on turn 2 and drives 6 out of Scott. Completing bonus on turn 3 and no means to fight mod's armies, 6 surrenders.

Blitz (master of desaster) vs Discovery (Penguinos)
Penguinos gets his first 3 picks, while mod gets 1,2,5. Just keeping that 5th pick stopping Penguinos from taking his bonus and getting 2 successful 3v2 attacks, mod gets his first bonus on turn 2. Fighting behind income and failing a 3v2 attack that would give a bonus-Penguinos surrenders.

Blitz (master of desaster) vs HAWKS (Thor)
Thor gets 2 successful 3v2 attacks turn 2 to get his bonus, while trying a counter on Central America. mod takes Australia as his first bonus and missing a card piece, he blockades Cuba. While Thor gets Caucasus and tries to eliminate mod from South America, mod grows faster in Indonesia, East China and SEA. This quick expansion isn't matched by slow expansion of Thor into East Russia. Once even at income, suddenly Thor gets behind in income and he surrenders.

Blitz (master of desaster) vs USSR (Eoinob)
mod gets his first 3 picks-with one being in a wasteland bonus, while Eoinob gets 1,2,4, getting intel on Greenland. Eoinob gets lucky with 3v2 attacks getting him West Africa in turn2 and South America in turn 3. By this time, he has no leftovers to work with to get a card piece and so deploys 4 to take a territory in East Africa and 1 to Columbia. With enough leftovers, mod deploys 1 to Nuuk to get a card piece with 3v2 and deploys rest to break South America. Eoinob grabs East Africa and then goes to break South America and Antarctica, but mod takes back South America, then to break Antarctica and West Africa. Eoinob surrenders after seeing this huge army difference.

Blitz (master of desaster) vs Nuke D (Tim Bennet)
Tim makes 4 picks and mod gets intel on one of those picks. With both players getting to 12 income by turn 3 and Tim slightly ahead in come after that, he fails to attack mod and grows in Greenland-which is a wastelanded bonus. After a point, mod decides to stack up and attack-which eventually breaks South America, making Tim to surrender.

Wizards (6) vs Discovery (Penguinos)
Both players lose 1 pick out of their first 3 picks and tries to complete a +3 bonus by turn 2. 6 has bad luck of not getting a successful 3v2 in SEA, but Penguinos has bad luck that a 3v2 attack works in countering Antarctica. Penguinos tries to take back Antarctica, but because of SEA bonus coming into play, he couldn't do so. Not getting card pieces, Penguinos can't defend against 6's armies and surrenders.

Wizards (6) vs Nuke D (Tim Bennet)
Both players lose 1 pick out of their 4 picks and Tim goes for completing Greenland first. He tries to take Norway from 6, but grows in Canada to take it. While slightly ahead in income, he decides to be defensive-giving away his chance of victory. Taking Europe and having a large stack in Ukraine and reaching out to Central America to get a double border, Tim had this game won-but he surrenders once 6 takes Svalbard. Strange luck for 6.

Discovery (Penguinos) vs HAWKS (Thor)
Both players gets their first 3 picks. While Thor gets SEA FTB and then Central America in turn 2, he has the advantage of income-but then goes to expand randomly-to throw away this. Penguinos gets lucky with a successful 3v2 attack, completing East Africa and once he gets the double border over Thor,he punishes him for his wasted armies. Thor blockades Iran and gets to Western Siberia, but because of slow expansion in Indonesia and existing army difference, Penguinos seals his win by eliminating Thor from the triple border and taking Middle East.

Discovery (Penguinos) vs USSR (Eoinob)
Eoinob gets his first 3 picks, while Penguinos gets intel on one of Eoinob's picks. Starting with FTB, Penguinos decides to grow in efficient bonuses and move towards Scott-while Eoinob, starting with Australia, fails to take Scott to ensure the safety of his bonuses.Once broken, he is far behind in income and loses more bonuses than he could break. after a few turns, seeing how he couldn't stop Penguinos aggression, he surrenders.

HAWKS (Thor) vs USSR (Eoinob)
Both players get their first 3 picks and fights with even income for few turns, until Thor breaks South America. While Thor expands to Europe, his third bonus Eoinob grabs Australia, his second bonus. This difference in income grows faster, as Thor takes Central America and Eoinob blockades South America, while taking East China. Breaking the blockade and expanding in caucasus, Thor gets the income advantage and being behind, Eoinob surrenders.

HAWKS (Thor) vs Nuke D (Tim Bennet)
Though Tim has intel on Thor's start in East US, he decides to try taking Central America FTB-which is countered by Thor. Thor just deploys to deny Central America and a failed 3v2 attack in Taiwan lets Thor to once again counter Tim's bonus completion. With income advantage and card piece advantage Thor wins the game.

USSR (Eoinob) vs Nuke D (Tim Bennet)
Both players lose one out of their first 3 picks, while Tim gets lucky in getting a good Fizzer pick-as he made only 3 picks. Tim plays well to eliminate Eoinob from Africa but failing to take East Africa ahead of bonuses with 4 wastelands, this expansion is matched by Eoinob. Capitalizing on Tim's passive play, Eoinob grows further, and as the income difference is huge-Tim's idea of moving out with one big stack doesn't work and he surrenders.

Nuke D (Tim Bennet) vs Discovery (Penguinos)
Both players lost 1 pick out of their first 3 picks, but because Tim had a later pick, he gives one of his starts to Penguinos. Because Penguinos growing in South America and not in one of his starts(Indonesia) , Tim manages to take West Russia and break Scandinavian, forcing the small income advantage to make Penguinous surrender.

Blitz (Jefferspin, Tito, Master Turtle) vs Discovery (Banjo, MrTrolldemort,Denriev)

While Blitz players mirror their picks, Discovery players fail to mirror and two of them makes only 8 picks; this gives Fizzer picks for them. With Denriev's picks away from others picks, it is more or less 2v3 for Discovery. While MrTrolldemeort pushes Master Turtle out of Iceland with his FTB army advantage, he doesn't have enough income to stop Jefferspin-who was freely growing. Tito, who grabs his starting bonuses goes to break Banjo's only bonus-letting Master Turtle to eliminate his two starts. After all these had happened Denriev gets his bonuses broken, sealing the game as Blitz team's victory.

LEA grabs the first spot(due to high max points) and are yet to lose a game. Gyver had given an excellent performance so far and will mostly end up as the tournament winner for 1v1 Strat ME. They go 5-0 since the start (5-0 in 1v1).

Blitz grabs most wins and are in second spot due to their max points. They're finishing games faster than other clans. They finish 7-1 (6-1 in 1v1 and 1-0 in 3v3).

Wizards claims the third spot and are so slow in finishing their games. They seem to have some sort of luck this time too. They finish 3-1 (1v1).

HAWKS comes fourth not because they didn't win enough games, but because they finished more games than 3rd spot. They finish 3-3(1v1).

USSR comes fifth, trying to get away from the last two spots. If they're to move up , they got to capitalize on the advantage they get. They finish 2-4. (1v1)

Discovery comes sixth; if they're to catch up to others-they should look for more wins. They finish 3-4 (3-3 in 1v1 and 0-1 in 3v3).

Nuke Diplomacy comes seventh; they could've had 1 or 2 more wins, but that wouldn't compensate the forfeit loss. They finish 1-11 (1-5 in Strat ME and 0-6 in British Raj).

Looking at the start, it seems like LEA is into the race for going to Div.C and this makes the qualifier more interesting.

Thanks for the write up.
When I summarize current CL status in HAWKS. I like to calculate the "point rate".
Means Achieved points per contested points.

Example:
Blitz has now 23 points
and 105 max points of initial 108 points

Formula is then
23/(23+(108-105))
or just
23/(23+3)=88%

For Wizards
9/12=75%

...

So when a clan is slower, it does not show them better than faster playing clans

Yes, we've a %Points contested in the spread sheet, which is calculated like you mentioned. That is why Blitz is 2nd and Wizards are 3rd, though their max points are same.

(p.s: Ignore USSR's W-L and Win rate-it needs to be fixed.)

1) congrats Gyver!! Nicely done!! Like a MacGyver.

2) In CL rules it says I have to annoumce it at least 3 days before this event. And before I forget it I better announce it now.

Player J.P. (Germany) will extend the vacation of player Axl (Ukraine) before his current vacation expires.

Since both also play together in 2v2 and 3v3 ladder, J.P. might do moves for him at the ladders BUT not in the CL tournaments 2v2 FE and 3v3 EU.

Is that procedure correct?

1v1 Strat ME WR 0%:

4 games have finished since last update completing the tournament.

Discovery (Penguinos) beats LEA (Gyver)

Gyver goes and picks East Russia, which is not an efficient bonus and Penguinos gets intel on two of Gyver's starts. Gyver completing East Russia first takes 3 turns and by this time, Penguinos gets 12 income. Due to a slight income dis-advantage and completing Central russia taking time, Gyver loses his start in Sweden; soon after this he loses West Russia to Penguinos, while breaking East China bonus of the latter. Taking West China for short time doesn't turn the tables back and with the blockade after breaking WC, Penguinos seals the game.

LEA (Gyver) beats Wizards (6)

Gyver gets intel on 6's FTB picks and his all three 3v2 attacks succeeds in turn 1 giving him a FTB, while 6's only 3v2 attack fails in turn 1. Choosing the FTB with bad warlord in Australia and failing to break Central America, 6 surrenders.

Wizards (6) beats Hawks (Thor)

Both players get their first 3 picks and due to luck, 6 completes 2 bonuses in turn 2 getting to 11 income, with all 3v2 attacks being successful. Thor gets to 9 income turn 2, but fails to secure Murmansk with a larger number of armies. It may not be successful to take it and keep it, but is better than attacking the 4 neutral in West China with that. Once broken, and against a big stack, he fails to take it back and loses more lands-leading to his surrender.

Wizards (6) beat USSR (Eoinob)

Both players get their first 3 picks and due to a successful 3v2 attack, 6 gets +3 FTB. Eoinob risks getting Greenland turn 3 (due to 3v2 attacks) and luckily gets it, but blockades it due to a flank attack. Expansion in Africa isn't fast and due to lack of blockade, he fails to stop 6 getting Europe. Powered with West China, the 6's stack become much larger and so Eoinob surrenders.

All games finished.
Gyver goes 5-1 and wins the tournament. master of desaster goes 5-1 and is the runner up.

USSR -	Varakreivi and Wesley

LEA - Kero and Moussa

9/21 games have finished at time of update.

Hawks beats LEA

Team LEA makes 5 picks each, in clustered fashion against spread out mirrored 12 picks of team HAWKS. The former struggles to keep up with the expansion of the latter, due to the safety aspect and HAWKS target Moussa in their 2v1 assault, while defending against his team mate-to break his bonuses and eventually eliminate him. Denying Greenland and threatening LEA's bonuses with big stacks, HAWKS team grabs the victory.

Hawks beats Discovery

MrTrolldemort makes 12 picks, but his team-mate makes only 7 picks; these picks when put against the mirrored 12 picks of J.P and Axl, fails hard because of the counter-picks. While the latter duo goes for safe expansion , the former two goes for risky growth and doesn't recover from their bonuses getting denied. Behind in income and getting harassed due to the defensive play, the games goes to team Hawks.

Blitz beats LEA

Making 12 picks even if it not mirrored is better than making clustered 4-5 picks in long term and, this is an example. In short term, LEA's cluster pick makes the game 1v2 , while Blitz team capitalizes on this. With relatively better expansion, the income difference grows larger and due to this Blitz grabs their victory.

Blitz beats Discovery

Both teams take different picks and first turn team Disco loses 1 of their starts due to a failed attack of 6 vs 9 def., armies. Blitz team capitalizes on this mistake and the no-card piece attacking mistake, to make an approximate even game into their favor.

Nuke Diplomacy beats USSR

Both teams make relatively lesser than 12 picks and USSR team fails to punish the Nuke Diplo team's cluster pick of West US. Andrew buys little time before going AI, which is enough for his team mate to punish the USSR team 1v2, due to his un-hindered expansion. Lancealot carries his AI partner to the win, with the army advantage.

Nuke Diplomacy beats LEA

Andrew makes 12 picks while all others makes lesser picks only to boot and become AI. however due to Lancealot surviving attacks of no-bonus Kero in earlier turns, while Moussa is busy eliminating AI from NA, the game surprisingly gets Nuked due to faster expansion of LEA. If Moussa had kept AI alive near him, he could've made AI help him as AI usually attacks neutrals first. LEA surrenders after failing to defend against the lance.

USSR beats Wizards

Wizards team makes 12 picks each, though not-mirrored-slightly spread out compared to the USSR team picks. Though the cluster picks helped Wesley gain a bit of advantage, in a 1v2 situation it lead to some struggle for expansion. Instead of capitalizing on this, Wizards team concentrates on expansion-which is then pushed back by Varakreivi's unhindered growth. Games was more or less even for sometime, due to non-aggression by USSR, but failing to break their bonuses Wizards surrender.

Wizards beats Nuke Diplomacy

While Wizards team makes 12 different spread out picks against Nuke Diplo's fewer clustered picks, Vole tries a wasteland combo for West China and surprisingly fights back against Lancealot's cluster nearby. With Andrew, keeping Lunar at a stand-still position getting booted and pushed back hard, Nuke team surrenders.

Discovery beats LEA

Team Disco makes slightly better spread out picks compared to LEA's cluster picks. Due to Elohim's safe +2 bonus, he makes sure to survive 1v2 against LEA team, due to his positional advantage against Kero and soon after he breaks their bonus, MrTroll growing faster comes to the fight-sealing the game for his team.

p.s: part 2 will be posted in few hours.

Clan - Team

HAWKS - (ง︡'-'︠)ง let's fight!! , Axl, J.P
LEA - Captain Trips, the Bloody-Nine, ⛳ lh70
Nuke Diplomacy	- Bigger Log, Lancealot091, TiggerUnix
Discovery	- Banjo, Denriev, MrTrolldemort
Blitz - Master Turtle , Jefferspin , Tito
USSR - cane sciolto, Prophet, Varakreivi

Wizards beat LEA

LEA team fully mirrors their picks and Wizards team has one who doesn't mirror. Due to LEA team getting their 1st pick, Sherlock's 3rd pick gives Wizards a FTB which is helpful to help Dimitris grow faster and stop Captain Trips' growth. While Bloody Nine eliminates Dimitris and Koros from Russia, he fails to save a spot in islands, which was the spot left after Captain Trips' elimination there. Getting pushed back in center and losing their starts to the stacks of Wizards, LEA team surrenders.

Wizards beat Nuke Diplomacy

While Wizards team makes 24 picks mirrored, Nuke Diplo team makes their individual clusters of fewer picks; triple picking a +3 bonus and not taking it as FTB shows the expansion plan. Bigger Log booting in early turn gives easier expansion to Wizards and it doesn't end till all players of Nuke team are eliminated.

Hawks beat Discovery

HAWKS team make 24 picks mirrored, while only MrTroll makes 24 picks in Disco team. Other two members make fewer picks, which leads to income difference from turn 1. Having no starts in islands and east while getting pressured at their starts, Disco team loses their bonuses and gets eliminated in few starts, which leads to their surrender.

LEA beat Nuke diplomacy

LEA team makes 24 mirrored picks, while Nuke team makes fewer picks, getting some random starts; Planned expansion by LEA members pushed back unplanned expansion of Nuke team, in a 3v2 situation. Bigger Log tries to fight with the income he has, but he joins the fight late. The boot makes it hard and few turns are required for the surrender, as one wanted to be eliminated.

1v1 British Raj:
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=28598

7/15 games finished. Due to Mr Pink not in tournament, total games count is less.

Haws beat Wizards

Erza fails a 3v2 attack and doesn't get the FTB, while Cicero gets a double border-to break the bonus and keeping his +3 safe. This seals up Cicero's victory.

Hawks beat LEA

Captain Trips has an even start, but fails to stop Cicero getting a +3 bonus , breaking the latter's +2. However, instead of defending, he deploys few armies elsewhere-which makes game in favor of Cicero. Capitalizing on this, he expands and makes Captain Trips to surrender.

Hawks beat USSR

Wesley gets lucky with finishing a +5 bonus with all of the 4 3v2 attacks being successful, but then gets broken due to a double border. While Cicero safely expands, Wesley finds Cicero near his other two starts and surrenders.

USSR beats LEA

Wesley picks first 4 picks for a +5 bonus and luckily gets it in turn 2. Finding Captain Trips near his core, he uses the early income advantage to break the latter's +2 and eventually Captain boots.

USSR beats Discovery

Nicforth boots on picks.

Blitz beat Wizards

Erza triple picks a +4 bonus and gets countered by #Master QB turn 2, ending the game quickly as #QB's win.

LEA beat Discovery

Nicforth boots on picks.

1v1 Hannibal at the gate
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=28597

14/21 games finished.

Blitz beat Discovery

With Master Moto's tap first order, Ellohim fails a +2 FTB and then proceeds to get that zone for himself. Though even in income, failing to go to Moto's bonus area and not getting further bonus, Ellohim gets his bonus broken and surrenders.

Blitz beat Wizards

Master Yoda does good to take an important territory, turn 2-but then immediately gives it to Master Moto. Having a border on two of Yoda's bonuses, Moto punishes hard for the mistake-getting ahead in income and later eliminating Yoda from that area, grabbing his victory.

Blitz beat Nuke Diplo

Tyson puts almost all of picks in one area and unfortunately loses one of the picks to Moto. If he had tried to eliminate instead of grabbing a bonus, he could've fought evenly-but failing this leads to his doom. He doesn't want to give a simple win, so plays till elimination and finally gives Master his win.

Blitz beat LEA

Kero makes only 5 picks and luckily gets all 5, while Master Moto gets his first 5 picks. Due to better expansion, when they both meet, Moto has the advantage and he slams his way to his win.

Discovery beat Wizards

Ellohim gets his first 5 picks while Yoda gets intel on 4 of those picks. At this point, rushing to it with a big stack would've been better, but he splits his stack-while getting his +3 broken. This gives Ellohim to gain army advantage, which turns an even game into his victory.

Discovery beat USSR

Ellohim gets his first 5 picks, while Prophet gets 5 out of his first 6 picks; failing to get any bonus in turn 1 Prophet couldn't keep up with Ello's growth and eventually surrenders.

Discovery beat Nuke Diplo

Tyson gets his 10th pick while Ello gets 5 out of his first 6 picks. With full intel, Tyson should've got the advantage, but failing to stop a +2 bonus-he falls behind in income and ultimately plays till elimination.

Discovery beat LEA

Kero makes 5 picks and gets all of them, while Ello gets 1 random start. Having intel on 3 of Kero's picks, instead of rushing there, Ello takes his time to expand faster to push through Kero's bonuses making him surrender.

Hawks beat Discovery

Let's fight gets intel on 2 of Ello's picks while the latter gets intel on 1 of the former's picks; but due to a slightly higher income after turn 1, Let's fight holds the advantage and capitalizes on it to get the win.

Hawks beat Nuke diplo

Tyson gets unlucky with having 1 of Let's Fight's starts very near to him and after an income disadvantage after turn 1, he fails to make a come-back. Let's fight punishes Tyson hard and makes him to surrender.

Wizards beat USSR

Prophet gets his first 5 picks while Yoda gets 5 out of his first 6 picks. Falling behind on income after turn 1, Prophet gets his starts eliminated. Yoda uses the intel he has to counter a +2 to march towards his win.

Wizards beat LEA

Both players lose 1 out of their first 5 picks and Kero's counter fails, as Yoda completes a different bonus in turn 1. The income gap starting from turn 1 grows and nurtures Yoda his victory.

USSR beat LEA

Both players gets their first 5 picks, but because of Prophet taking a +2 FTB-the income advantage grows slowly over the turns and after a point, it overturns the game to total victory of Prophet.

Nuke Diplo beat LEA

Kero makes all 7 picks in an area and unfortunately gets one of the picks of Tyson very near, who has spread out his picks. Attacking 3 neutral with 3 and failing to complete his bonuses, puts Kero behind and once Tyson takes aggression and breaks one +2, Kero surrenders.
