My mom had some 3 day cleanse drink that flushes out EVERYTHING. She was holding on to it until she got off early on friday so she'd have the whole weekend to recover. I'll get the name of it and let you all know what happened when I find out.

Don't eat breakfast, and lunch, and nothing except dinner.

It works.

Good advice

I fasted for 10 days and when I weighed myself I had lost a whopping 500 pounds. Fasting really works, but due to the shift in my metabolism I gained back all the weight faster than I lost it,

My keto mantra I try to follow -- "Eat when hungry. Stop when full. Mostly meats."

OgreZed for me it's:

Eat when literally starving (dying from hunger in a literal way)
Stop when figuratively starving (SUPER DUPER DUPER DUPER HUNGRY)
Be shameful when hungry (You shouldn't have eaten that much)
Just.. WHY when full (Way too much food, you should realize that food costs money)

Good thing is you save A LOT of money, which is more important than weight.

The best diet is the one that you can have all life, all the other ones are temporary and can be dangerous for your health. You have to make sure to not lose too much lean mass (mostly muscles) when you lose weight because that lean mass helps you to regulate your weight in the long term. People on diet tend to fail because they don't preserve their lean mass while losing their overall mass (lean mass + fat mass). It puts them into a never-ending circle of losing fat and lean mass and then gaining back fat mass because they lost too much lean mass that was helping them regulate their overall mass. To keep your lean mass while losing your fat mass, you need diet + EXERCISE, preferably some kind of weight lifting or something that will increase or maintain your lean mass with cardio, one or the other is not enough (unless your form of cardio helps also increasing and maitaining your lean mass all through your body).

Chick Fil A is great fast food.

The chicken sandwich is fairly low in calories, the grilled chicken nuggets are literally just a grilled chicken breast which is Grade A diet food.

The Chik Fil A being healthier propaganda has already been debunked lel

Also no one on a diet should be eating processed white flour buns. Those are pure sugar. Either eat whole wheat buns or have a keto friendly low carb bun.

Edit: I have lost over 10 pounds so far since starting this diet btw. Not even making that up, I'm completely serious. Low calorie intake + few carbs + basic exercise (such as walking or jogging) really does work.

Chik Fil A being healthier

I didn't say it was healthier, this thread is about losing weight.

I said it's a great low calorie fast food option and that's a fact.

Salt has 0 calories but it can be very unhealthy if you have too much of it.

"This food is good for weight loss" and "this food is healthy" are not the same thing.

Indeed it does.

So does low calorie intake + lots of carbs + no exercise

Or low calorie intake + watching the Simpson’s + wearing orange socks.

Well I was probably talking about more than pure weight loss, but also sustainability of weight loss and overall health in general. Chik Fil A is not really much different, if any different, from a mcdonalds chicken sandwich or whatever shit fast food restaurants serve that puts fried chicken on a bun. It's all practically the same shit.

Low calorie + lots of carbs + no exercise sucks because you're going to be out of shape, and probably suffer from cravings and hunger. It's just a stupid and ineffective way to diet, and you're liking to screw up your metabolism that way.

Just stop eating potato, rice, and wheat products (pasta, bread, chips etc.), and you will be fine. Even if you keep eating fat meat, you will lose weight till a healthy BMI and keep it. Potato, rice, and wheat products are full of carbohydrates, and carbohydrates are just another form of sugar. Not drinking a lot of sugar-rich soda is also good, just don't take light drinks and other drinks with sugar substitute, as a lot of sugar substitute give you a higher chance of getting diabetes.

Fat has a more than 2 times higher energy density than carbohydrates. Recommending it to someone who wants to reduce their weight is counterproductive. What would be good to lose weight is eating food with alot of dietary fiber, like cellulose, lignin, non-starch polysacchrides. Fruits, vegetables, grains, and wheat are mostly made of fiber. They saturate you, but have a relatively low energy output.

Agreed with Dutch Desire.

It's really not counterproductive. Fat has more calories, but it also satiates the most, and can help prevent cravings (when you do a low carb diet you crave sweets a lot less), while also providing you with the nutrients you need and keeping blood sugar constantly regulated, reducing your body's need to produce insulin.

Also consuming calories is not a bad thing, and it's easier to reach the calorie deficit you're looking for on a high fat lower carb diet because of how much more satiating fat is (and protein too). By consuming too few calories it's easier to fuck up your metabolism, so if your goal to lose weight is just by consuming as few calories as possible you're going to fuck your metabolism up in the long run. Fat is not your enemy.

I'll write more later and improve this post, I have to go to class and have little time.

McChicken is pretty good on calories too.

It's actually smart and effective.

Good luck convincing a 500 pound dude to switch to an all vegetable diet and exercise 5 times a week for 2+ years. Much easier to convince him to simply eat fewer calories.

I have a BMI of 21. I more or less eat whatever I can find. Some days I eat one meal, others I eat five or more. That said, I ride my bicycle at least 10 miles daily, so I stay fit.. I could really use more arm muscle honestly.

I read an article recently that showed that a low carb diet was so effective in weight loss, that you could consume less calories than a person on a high carb diet and still lose more weight, especially visceral fat in which there was a 10% greater reduction than on a HCLF diet.

The low carb diet truly is better for weight loss than a high carb diet. It's not even just the variables such as better satiety, and fewer cravings, but the diet literally leads to increased weight loss because your body begins using fat for energy instead of carbs. It's just way better, and I say this from experience.

I've already lost somewhere around 15 pounds, and tomorrow I'm going to shop at a place about 6 miles away for low carb goods. Once my goal has been reached I'm going to start consuming 50+ carbs per day again. I miss pancakes, but they're ridiculously high carb with maple syrup so I can't make any exceptions for them. :(
