Did you make a mistake? This is confusing. I think you mean don't show players those popular maps that the pros are good at, right?

The next sentence I stated that.
Show them the goofy maps. I think it’s hard for an average joe to be interested in this game if they only get beat in the same 3 maps over and over.
Show them other maps that aren't necessarily made to be strategic. And yes the "pros" (I would rather say people who are good at the game, as the term professional involves getting paid) only play on the same maps. Which so happen to be the only maps in quickmatch for a random person new to the game to play. Perhaps breaking up the skill pool is necessary. or giving new players options such as "I want to play for strategy" or "I want to play just to have fun" or "Show me all aspects of Warzone." Even give the choice to play with people with similar levels or what not. I guess this would promote smurfing, but in the end it might be better to build a wider audience.
Even if we have people like you and Bane making maps I don't think they will get the love they deserve. Probably new people don't know they exist or that they can make them too. I believe that their is a bigger audience out there who can appreciate it though but Warzone isin't oriented in doing such. It's 90% just people who love risk like strategy games on a world template. Which is fine, but it's a niche audience. There is (no offense Fizzer) better strategy games out there. This game is free so you keep some people around (mostly younger people who can't afford to buy $60 games). I would bet most people on here are 16-21 years of age (the forum for sure). That's a small audience.
I wouldn't be playing this game if I didn't have friends IRL and via Twitch to play with. I overall fine strategy games boring and I feel most "gamers" do. I like playing on the goofy, sometimes bad, artistic, and non strategy maps because it's not stale. RoR and Small Earth are generally boring. I don't care about strategy. It's not fun for me. That's me though. I'm not sure what Fizzer's end goal is with this platform. But I believe he could reach a wider audience with this game. But it's his game not mine. He doesn't need to cater to me.
I know this is a bit side tracked from the original discussion and I love Fizzer (you da best) but its how I feel. :)
