okay so this sounds kind of crazy and probably is and there is probably a bad idea but what if we push for people too develop anti nuclear weapons methods that way it is no longer useful then we ban nuclear weapons and all the countries would be willing because there would be no point. any thoughts on the idea.

if you'r using the meaning of Q.E.D according to google we could do things like positions misses on the border with massive computers that once a nuke is detected calculates were it will be once a missile is fired and fire a missile there. and if you mean what I thought the typo is then I thought it said I think I don't know

Something like Regans “Star wars” program, we have satellites in space that will use lasers to destroy the nuclear weapons when they’re still in space.

Problem is the countermeassure needs to be cheap. If only countries, that can develop nuclear bombs anyway, have the means to develop it, nothing will change exept for the arms manufacturer profits. Business as usual.

Then make it cheap, so that everyone can have it.

There will always be a way to effectively deliver a nuclear weapon. If a cheap and effective means of defending against ballistic missiles were deployed, it would always be possible to load weapons on to aircraft painted with commercial livery, fly them over a targets and then set off the weapons.

Tom Clancey wrote a novel where terrorists transported a nuclear weapon in a van to its target. It would be as easy to place one in a shipping container and then use a commercial shipping agent to deliver the bomb to the port of your choosing. A low flying cruise missile is more likely than not to reach its target. That has been true for 75 years. Sadly the threat of nuclear weapons is apt to be with us for as long as the mere notion that it is possible to build the things is common.

Practically, making a bomb is difficult. This is the primary barrier between you and disaster.
