Your view is directed solely on the 1vs1 2vs2 and 3vs3 ladder. I'm way more scared of buns than i'd be against any of the people you mentioned. Saying buns wouldn't crack top 10 is either a provocation to make people talk here or a joke

Yeah, Wally's got to be trolling. Buns and mod literally just came in 1st/2nd on the seasonal.

Timinator and Pardon are the only "top" players on the 1v1/2v2/3v3 ladders atm IMO.

Pardon I'd likely place in top 10 of active players, Timinator in top 5 for sure.

Please note, I am not trying to discredit you or call you bad, but I think a lot of the QM ratings boil down to who plays it the most.

You have to be good at a template to be #1 on it, no question, but you don't actually need to be better than those ranked close behind if you play more than they do.

I also think your claim that Wally isn't a good player is silly, and I don't think it's a view you really hold. I'm not saying he's amazing, or anywhere near as good as you are, but there's no way the bar to be "good" is so high that it's above Wally.

I don't think it's useful to suggest that player titles break down like this:

Elite: 5 people
Great: 10 more people
Good: 20 more people
Bad: Everyone outside the top 35.

I'm by no means a Wally fanboy, but if he's top 500 out of 100,000 or more, that's definitely what should objectively be considered good.

When I was a noob, they could claim the threshold was top 20%, of which I didn't seem to be a member.

Then as I've gotten progressively better, the goalposts keeps shifting.

Now more than 99% of the site is 'not good' as no credible claim I'm not in the top 1% could be made.

well i know mod, and i truly believe that he is saying is the truth..... perhaps you think that what he consider to be a good player is to narrow, but then again we dont have a official definition of what a good player is(for obvious reasons)...... now what i find interesting in all of this, is how poorly this hole thing is thought out by wally. either he does believe it and he is stupid, or he is trolling, and doing it so poorly that he is well stupid

Playing qm a lot gives you an advantage to a certain point. Once you exceed that and you lose almost 10 points to anyone if you lose, no matter the rating, it's kinda hard to keep up. You should play again and try it out. Qm is a lot of fun currently. Great competition there unlike ladders.

Edit: about what i call good, it depends on someones game mechanics unnderstanding. Looking at the questions wally asked even after he got first on a ladder i feel confident saying he's not good in my eyes

Love or hate the 1v1 ladder, but if you can maintain a top 10 position on that ladder for an extended period of time, you are objectively a "good" player. That's of course not enough to elevate you into the conversation for the best 5 players in Warlight, but to say Wally isn't a good player is silly.

However, we all know Buns157 is overrated. He doesn't even have a 3v3 ladder trophy...

Yeah i think i know pretty much everything about how to play. You should play qm as well btw. You can also disable everything except the 1vs1 ladder template if it gets too hard otherwise.

And i'm not insulting you for asking questions at all. I'm saying you're much worse than you see yourself
