Anyone with at least 200 global Quickmatch rating can now view leaderboards!

Leaderboards can be viewed in many different categories, such as one for each template, one for all RT games, for all team games, for all games between players of the same country, etc.

I've at least played over 15 quickmatch games and my current rating is 14.25. I got this rating partially because vacations are not honored in the quickmatch system. which is a pain and I'd like to see this change.

Love it, it's motivating me to get a higher rating on templates i didn't care about as much before when i see it's a close race.

Basically it's to avoid there being a button there for new players. I want first-time player's experiences to be as sleek and simple as possible and have features unlock over time. But perhaps waiting for 200 rating is too long, I'll reduce it to 100 and consider other ways of implementing this. I don't think getting to 100 is too hard for even poor players, as long as you're active.

This looks like a bug. The intention is for vacations to be honored, I'll get that fixed.

Your assumption is correct. The leaderboards only show up once you've played a game that affects that rating category.

For what it's worth, those who would like to see the boards without playing - think of it as an incentive to play. You only have to endure a small amount of Small Earth before you can get into the decent templates ;)

I understand your philosophy. But instead of a rating to view the QM Leaderboards, how about a level? Since newcomers are slowly introduced to new features such as the forum at level 5, they could be introduced to the QM Leaderboards at level 10 or 15. Players above level 50 that have been playing and observing the game for over 2 years need no introduction.

I get your point, but I dont think new players will be confused by a subtle "Show leaderboard" button.

I get Fizzer's Point. And support Fizzer's Logic. Implementing a level unlock feels like it defeats the spirit of quickmatch: That, as you play, you unlock more features, templates, and votes. To me, this makes sense. I don't see why we should arbitrarily introduce a level requirement to view leader-boards when everything else is dictated by qm rating in this feature. That would seem even more confusing to me (and possibly poor gameplay design), if I were a noob.
