To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Donald Trump. The planning is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the deep state most of the actions will go over a typical voter’s head. There’s also Donald’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his character- his political philosophy draws heavily from Aleksander Dugin literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these political moves, to realise that they’re not just 4D chess- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Donald Trump truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the sagacity in Donald’s existential catchphrase “Make America Great Again,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Reagan’s epic 1980 presidential campaign. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Jared Kushner’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. πŸ˜‚

And yes, by the way, i DO have a MAGA tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

An idiot's tactic?

If you are casting about for a conservative political figure to admire I would point to Carl Gustaf Mannerheim, who was a proper leader of his nation. Unlike some of the people with who he was allied he did not lead his country to complete disaster.

Our current President is an embarrassment.

If this gives you cause to use words like 'idiot' I will live with that. It does not bother me.

As to context, Mr. Trump has already demonstrated a woeful ignorance regarding nuclear weapons. If he had not done so your defense of the man might have some measure of credibility. Sadly it does not.

Knyte you would have us think that Trump's political moves, "say something deep about LIFE?"

Wow.

And what basis do you have for thinking that Trump reads Aleksander Dugin of all people. Not that I would be shocked. After all, it is said that Trump has read Hitler.

Yeah red pill, blah, blah, blah.

Give us a citation. Give us a mention of someone making the claim that Trump or some person in his administration is reading Dugin, and more importantly regards him as something other than a person of little importance. That is to say that they admire him.

Aleksander Dugin:

I think that the Internet as such, as a phenomenon is worth prohibiting because it gives nobody anything good.

This is from the speech, God is Against Internet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74QT-Wcgjbs

Another example of Dugin's thought:

If we want to get out of the west, we must free ourselves from the textbooks of physics and chemistry."

In the original Russian: «Π•ΡΠ»ΠΈ ΠΌΡ‹ Ρ…ΠΎΡ‚ΠΈΠΌ ΠΎΡΠ²ΠΎΠ±ΠΎΠ΄ΠΈΡ‚ΡŒΡΡ ΠΎΡ‚ Π—Π°ΠΏΠ°Π΄Π°, Π½Π°Π΄ΠΎ ΠΎΡΠ²ΠΎΠ±ΠΎΠ΄ΠΈΡ‚ΡŒΡΡ ΠΎΡ‚ ΡƒΡ‡Π΅Π±Π½ΠΈΠΊΠΎΠ² Ρ„ΠΈΠ·ΠΈΠΊΠΈ ΠΈ Ρ…ΠΈΠΌΠΈΠΈ»

Perhaps knyte is correct?

Perhaps Alexander Dugin is exactly the sort of thought which is popular within the Trump administration.

My god fuck off.

You know what's just as bad as shitty Donald Trump fans making everything into a Donald Trump event? People like you who feel the need to make everything into a joke about those people.

My god man, do you not realize you've become the very thing you're making fun of? You're being a smug "intellectual" lording your perceived superiority over a group of people you dislike because they do exactly what it is you're doing.

Fuck.

Look, I'm not a hateful person or anything–I believe we should all live and let live. But lately, I've been having a real problem with these Trump supporters. You see, just about wherever I go these days, one of them approaches me and starts redpilling me. Take last Sunday, for instance, when I casually struck up a conversation with this guy in the health-club locker room. Nothing pedey, just a couple of fellas talking about their workout routines while enjoying a nice hot shower. The guy looked like a real man's man, too–big biceps, meaty thighs, thick neck. He didn't seem the least bit nationalistic. At least not until he started redpilling me, that is.

Where does this Trumpster get the nerve to make America great again? Did I look conservative to him? Was I wearing a red baseball cap without realizing it? I don't recall the phrase, "Make America Great Again" entering the conversation, and I don't have a sign around my neck that reads, "Please, You Trump Supporters, Redpill Me." I've got nothing against Trump supporters. Let them be free to do their alt-right thing in peace, I say. But when they start redpilling me, then I've got a real problem.

Then there was the time I was hiking through the woods and came across a rugged-looking, blond-haired man in his early 30s. He seemed normal enough to me while we were bathing in that mountain stream, but, before you know it, he's redpilling me. What is it with these Trumptards? Can't they control their political urges? Aren't there enough conservatives out there for them to redpill without them having to target normal people like me? Believe me, I have no interest in getting myself redpilled by some NEET. But try telling that to the guy at the beach club. Or the one at the video store. Or the one who catered my wedding. Or any of the countless other Trump supporters who've redpilled me recently. All of them told me about Ivanka Trump, and there was nothing I could do to stop them.

I tell you, when a Trump supporter is fawning over Ivanka Trump, a lot of strange thoughts go through your head: How the hell did this happen? Where did this fairy ever get the idea that I was interested? And where did she get those fantastic boobs? It screws with your head at other times, too. Every time a man passes me on the street, I'm afraid he's going to grab me and drag me off to some bathroom to redpill me. I've even started to visualize these repulsive red-pilling episodes during the healthy, normal political interactions I enjoy with my community– even some that haven't actually happened, like the sweaty, post-game locker-room talk with Vancouver Canucks forward Mark Messier that I can't seem to stop thinking about.

Things could be worse, I suppose. It could be women trying to redpill me, which would be internalized misogyny and would make me feel tremendously guilty. As it is, I'm just angry and sickened. But believe me, that's enough. I don't know what makes these Trumpsters mistake me for a guy who wants his America made great again, and, frankly, I don't want to know. I just wish there were some way to get them to stop. I've tried all sorts of things to get them to stop, but it has all been to no avail. A few months back, I started wearing an intimidating-looking black leather biker jacket with menacing metal studs in the hopes that it would frighten those autists off, but it didn't work. In fact, it only seemed to encourage them. Then, I really started getting rough, slapping them around whenever they were trying to redpill me, but that failed, too. Even punching their faces just before conclusion and spilling Trump Vodka all over their face, neck, chest and hair seemed to have no effect. What do I have to do to get the message across to these deplorables? I swear, if these Trumptards don't take a hint and quit redpilling me all the time, I'm going to have to resort to drastic measures–like maybe force-feeding them my collection of 100-dollar Trump Steaks and reviving Trump Airlines to fly them to the Trump International Hotel and Tower so they understand loud and clear just how much I disapprove of their unwelcome discussions. I mean, you can't get much more direct than that.

>woeful ignorance of nuclear weapons

His DPRK policy is the strongest of all US presidents, and he may actually understand that there ought to be a targeted strike on the DPRK before they get deployable thermonuclear weapons

My initial post was in line with the copypasta but it appears knyte is both more creative and driven then myself. Kudos.

I support Donald Trump as the vastly superior candidate. As for people "always wanting to turn things intro a Trump event" look around this forum and you will find very few hardcore Republican partisans proclaiming their love for the man, rather people who support him as the better choice. The OT is more about ideas and concepts as opposed to personalities. Trump's biggest fan remains Wally Balls.

Trump's no fool. He's a narcissist, and inarticulate, but he isn't stupid. The only thing he truly doesn't seem to understand is how to treat his enemies in a way that will lead to productive cooperation, or even tense tolerance, which is what we need in our government to actually do shit.

The problem with parodies is that a very good parody can be hard to tell from the thing being parodied.

Wulfhere the trouble with nuclear weapons is that so many people have them. Whatever you make of the Bush administration's assessment of Saddam Hussein and his supposed capabilities to make a nuclear weapon, his behavior with regard to inspections made the arguments for going to war more plausible. The Koreans are playing at a similarly dangerous game. Is Kim Jong-un's behavior rationally calculated to a fare-thee-well? I do not have so high an opinion of the behavior of any human being. So could saber rattling be entirely out of place?

The trouble is this; further use of nuclear weapons creates a ready made argument to use them yet again. The Pakistanis have nuclear weapons. The possibility of a so-called Islamic Bomb in the hands of someone who views it as anything other than a deterrent is the stuff nightmares are made of.

The fallout of using a nuclear weapon could include general nuclear war.

That's the rub.

Flawed as our republic is, I take comfort in the thought that Trump has advisors, and that he can not on a whim decide to build 28,000 weapons (which would be a waste of money) because the congress would have to make an appropriation to do so. There is also a system of command and control in place. The President can not make use of a nuclear weapon without a second person giving assent. This has been the case for a long time, and for good reason.

I don't believe that Donald Trump would willfully provoke a full scale nuclear war. But, I do not trust the guy. I am thinking of Amanda Plummer and Samuel Jackson's standoff in Pulp Fiction. In a tense situation you want someone as sharp and self-possessed as Samuel Jackson's character was. What you don't want is someone who is as unhinged as Amanda Plummer's character was. And if I even suspect, for any reason, that might be true then you're on my list.

Before you even go there, no I am not comparing Hillary Clinton to Samuel Jackson. The problem with the last election is that both candidates were a disaster. The only real argument was over who was the worst.

To me, for a president to argue that we need ten times as many thermonuclear weapons is prima facie evidence of ignorance. It is evidence that the man does not take his job seriously enough to educate himself.

For me a better question than 'is the President intelligent', would be 'did he actually expect to win?'

DPRK has nuclear weapons and has threatened to use them. Saddam Hussein neither had WMD (that we knew of) nor made threats to use such weapons. Kim Jong Un is a rational actor; his endgame is holding millions of people in Japan and the Western US hostage with nuclear missiles as he unifies the Korean peninsula. DPRK is an imminent threat.
