Anyone surprised by that is a moron.

I did however find it cute that Mcgregor tried saying the ref shouldn't have ended it and let it end in a real KO. He could barely stand when the ref ended the fight, he was about to get severely hurt if it kept going.

There's absolutely zero doubt that if that fight hadn't ended in TKO that Mayweather would have knocked him unconscious.

I remember before the fight between Floyd and Manny Pacquiao, people were saying the same thing then about Floyd. Thinking that he would get knocked out, but the thing is, Floyd is probably the best boxer with regard to his defense. I've never seen another boxer defend himself with such skill. And that's why I think he hasn't been defeated in his professional career. He and Rocky Marciano are both one of the best boxers who have never lost a professional boxing match.

I was impressed with how McGregor boxed in the first 6 rounds (especially the first 4) but after that I was obvious that he was overusing his energy and didn't have the stamina to keep up with Floyd's defense.

Well, yeah, McGregor didn't do terrible. The problem is beating Floyd requires a lot more than "not being terrible". He's the best defensive boxer in the world, he intentionally lets his opponents take the offense while he watches them and studies them. They win a few rounds, but exhaust themselves, while he meanwhile learns how they fight and uses it to his advantage in the later rounds.

There's a lot of Warlight players that play the same way essentially. There's a lot of best of 11 series you could setup where one player might win 2-3 games to start the series and then get stomped because their opponent would adapt to their playstyle after a couple games after sizing them up.

I wasn't impressed at all; he didn't throw power punches at all, and not to mention his awkward standing position. I know that he isn't a boxer, but he trained for 6 months, so he had enough time to work on the basics of boxing. If you just listen to all the trash talk that McGregor was saying before the match, then you'll know how much he embarrassed himself.

6 months? That's nothing. Floyd has trained to be a boxer longer than McGregor has been alive.

He embarrassed himself to the tune of thousands, maybe millions of dollars.

Uhh, maybe millions? He made over 100 million.

Mayweather made over 300 million.

The fight was estimated to bring in ~700 milion dollars. The portion that went to the fighters was split 70/30, 30% to McGregor, 70% to Mayweather.
