Group F is up now as well, with only one big group. 13 players atm, and more allowed in. I am thinking I will limit it to 16 spots total, so 3 open spots left for any more new players. Usually there are a few not joining so the actual group may end up closer to the 10 players.

Tournaments will be started on the 2nd of September, so please join before that (and just as soon as possible - no point in waiting)

Group B and F are yet to start. Group B is waiting for Love to come back from vacation (He changed his name, so he got the invite late, as I invited Dr.Love instead). I figured I would wait with Group F untill the same time, as F is not that big and usually finishes quite fast. I will start both tomorrow in about 24 hours.

Group A seem to have started on a higher pace than usual, with many games being completed allready. AI are looking really good for a consecutive league title having lost only 1 game so far (against gogo2711) and won 5. AI can secure the title with a win in his last game.
Juan is looking good as well with a 4-1 record, but that 1 loss was against AI, giving AI the tiebreaker advantage. Juan needs to win his last 2 games and AI to lose the last game against iNsAnE.
Meanwhile iNsAnE is the final player who can still possible win the title, although he has still to finish a single game, so it is hard to know how his season will shape up. At least he is sticking up for the tradition of group A to move along slowly.

With two players not joining group A for this season and Juan dropping out after the season, there will be 1 relegation spot, so in the other end of the table it is all about not finishing last. Newly promoted graemes looks like an early contender for relegation having lost his 4 first games. He needs to get some points on the scoreboard in his last 3 games. Hunta, gogo and myself are 2 for 5, but gaemes is playing me and gogo currently and might need to win both to secure another season in A. iNsAnE of course is a contender for relegation as well as the title, as he is 0/0, so teoretically gaemes could survive if he wins against iNsAnE only and iNsAnE wins no more than 1 game this season.

I have now spend a bit of time making an average rank finished in group A statistic, as I proposed in the history of the league post (I will put it there in the future), since AI proved that somebody read the entire post and though it was a good idea :D
Btw I automated it in my spreadsheet so it should not be much trouble creating forthcomming (provided I did not fuck up with the count.if)
Only players having finish 3 or more seasons in A are included. In case of the same score, I have the player with most seasons played on top. If played the same it is just random.

The lower the score, the better is the average rating. To little surprise to me huddyj comes out as top dog here having won 4 times and never finished lower than 3rd. Hades however is not far behind with 2 wins and a 4th place in his 3 seasons in A. Pana and Arkanton comes follows not too far behind, after which there is quite a gab down to Buns157

Update on group A:
Only two games left to be played now. The game between AI and iNsAnE decides who win the title, with loser being runner up. Very exciting with the two contesters fighting it out against each other.
Juan having lost both his two last game will have to settle for a third place won on tiebreaker regardless of the last results. Of course this is a good result for a debut in A, but he might have dreamt bigger after the first few games.
The middle ranks is quite close with most players finishing with 3 (Baer, Hunta and Master Bjarke if loosing) or 4 (Juan, gogo2711 and Master Bjarke if winning) wins.
Not much excitement in the buttom, where graemes claims the sole relegation spot.

A: 1-6A, 7B
B: 1-3A, 4-8B, 9C
C: 1A, 2-4B, 5-9C, 10D
D: 1B, 2-4C, 5-9D, 10E
E: 1C, 2-4D, 5-9E, 10F
F: 1D, 2-5E, 6-9F

Any comments to P/Rs are welcome. There is only 1 player relegating from each group, which is mostly the result of players leaving in the top groups, which drips down though all groups. It seem to me a bit too hard to relegate when only last place does so and generally 3-4 players promote. I am considering if there could be some alteration to change this. For example it could be done with have more groups lower down the table, but this would mean signifikantly fewer levels (e.g. groups A, B1, B2, C1, C2, C3 and C4). Ideas and thoughs are most welcome! :)

Please not equal groups, that results in god awful tiebreakers.

Good to see this is still running well! You're doing a fantastic job, Bjarke. Maybe I'll have to start thinking about a come-back soon, though I don't know where I'll get the time for that. Keep up the great management work, anyway. :)

Edit: Result will be updated in the earlier post with the final standings. Congratulations to AI with claiming his second title being the first do win two seasons in a row since huddyj. AI is the first person ever to win in his two first seasons in A. 2nd place was very close with 4 players ending at 4-3, and 2 at 3-4, so congratulations to Juan for taking second.

Also with gogo leaving, the P/R guide will be altered as to fill the extra open spot in A.

Update: With 4 players leaving A, 1 leaving B and 2 boot removals this season will see quite some movements. In D-F this means there will be 2 double promotions. This means that noone who have lost more games than they won is promoted, and particulary for F it means that 2nd and 8th does not play in the same group next season.
