i been asking around but it seems warlight is mostly filled with gutless wusses who aren't cut out for surviving in the depths of hell island. (or whatever it's called)

I have a question for you veterans who've been around forever: if you had to pick some of the most iconic warlight players/forumgoers *who aren't around anymore and haven't been for a while*, who comes to mind? (I need to pick names for the tribes)

Alright, let's get started. We seem to have gotten a few extra players at the last moment. Unfortunately, we can't include everyone but if someone decides to drop at the last moment before we begin, we now have a couple of replacements. If not, sorry [SoA] T-V1ru5 and 125ch209!

Anyway, here are the tribes. There are 3 clans with 2 people and in each case, the members are on opposite tribes. Thanks for the tribe names, ps.

Okay, so what do you need to do? I've invited each of you to a large pseudo game using the template "camp life". These games are meant to simulate camp life - and really the only point here is there's a hidden immunity idol (rules below) somewhere in your camp - as well as give you an easy medium to chat.

They have special rules, listed below (and included in the template description):

"This is a multi-day game to simulate camp life. It's not a real game and there are some rules that go along with it
1. As this is a game, you can use public and private chats to talk to each other at any time. That's the most important part of this game. It's a side chat.
2. I'm in this game, so I'll be limiting the speed of this game.
3. Please keep all your units in a stack. Leave single units behind and move (or choose not to move) one space at a time. This is where "you" are in the camp.
4. DO NOT move to a space where another player can also move. Think of it as chess kings. I don't want people eliminated.
5. Okay, but why move? Hidden somewhere on this map is a hidden immunity idol. You'll be given clues throughout the game (or not, only some people will give them), but you can also blindly search. Every turn, you can search for the idol in the location you end up in. There are three ways to search:
- Look High (trees, buildings, etc).
- Look Low
- Dig
Do this by chatting me after the turn."

This means, reminder, No discussion of anything related to this game outside of in-game chats. These camp life games count as well as the games that will be created for challenges. It's unenforceable but don't be a dick? Cool.

Hidden Immunity Idols
These are special objects that you can use once. You let me know you wish to use them by the time the votes to eliminate a player are done being cast (remember, there's a 3 day window). Any votes cast against you will not count and the player with the next highest number of votes will be eliminated. They're very powerful obviously, but if you don't know people are voting against you, they can be completely useless as well.

Alright, so, once everyone has joined their respective tribes, I'll announce the first challenge and we can get started. And if you have any questions feel free to ask here, in your tribes public chat or in tribe private chat with me. Or forum mail. Wherever.

It was pointed out to me the extremely tragic history surrounding Dr. Typesomething. I don't think that the use of his name as one of the tribe names is offensive - I'd like to think it's commemorative. That said, I didn't know him and I wouldn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable, so if anyone is offended, let me know by whatever medium you like, and I will change the tribe's name. If everyone is okay/comfortable with it, I'd like to leave it. But I am not really the one whose opinion counts here.

For those who - like me - weren't aware of the history: http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread?ThreadID=5789

In lighter news, everyone should join the games I posted (confirming that you're in fact "in" still) so that I can start the first challenge.

Immunity Challenge:
Come on in, guys! Sorry this got off to a slow start, but let's get to today's immunity challenge. Here's how it's gonna work:

We're going to start out with a Warlight classic. I'll pair you up and you'll start a strategic 1v1 (using the built-in template) with the assigned tribemate on the other side. The tribe that wins the most games will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, there will be a tiebreaker, but we'll come to that if it comes up. Remember that while the 1v1 is going and until I declare the challenge over, you can use the chat in that game to talk to the tribemate on the other side, if you want to. No requirement.

Once you've started the game, please drop me a mail or a private chat in the tribe game with a link. Wanna hear what you're playing for?

Immunity, the most valuable thing in this game. Win this challenge and your tribe is safe from tribal council. The other tribe will be voting one of their members out. In addition, this is a reward challenge. The winner of this receives fire in the form of flint.*

Okay, ready to hear who's playing who?

Heyheuhei vs. Ineffable (Note: Ineffable is currently on vacation. We'll be starting without him but we can't end the challenge until he comes back. Heyheuhei, you'll have to just wait to start your game until he returns. Sorry!!!)

OFFICIAL RULING: Don't help others with their games. If you're in the game (this will apply later to 2v2s and 3v3s) feel free to help, but don't help someone in a game you aren't playing. You are allowed to give people general advice - but no advice specific to the game they're playing.

Everyone clear on that?

Basically, I just think it'd be less fun if someone didn't really get to play their own games - was just being the proxy for someone else.

A player asked a question and I thought I'd put my answer here. The system I'm describing is straight out of survivor.

Near the end of the game, the final 2 or 3 players (the number is decided but not announced) will have reached the end of the game. At that point, the jury, made up of those voted off most recently (the number will be announced later) will have an opportunity to vote on who they think should win survivor: warlight. No criterion or requirements are given for these votes.

This may influence your strategy during the game.
