I do not like the idea Ekstone. The set-up right now is fine I think. Perhaps you can add an extra requirment for the tour finals. For example that a player need to have played in at least 3 master tournaments or 5 250 series, or must have won at least 25 games in the AWP tour.

I would start using wild cards.
Instead of the TOP16, only the TOP10 Tour Race player would qualify to the Tour Finals (with a likely 2500 points limit).

5 wild cards would go to the TOP5 players of MTL and I would decide on the last wild card.

Honestly Ekstone, I hate the idea. It's a Tour Finals for the best AWP players. Players 11-16 get rewarded for participating, and it gives a shot to upcoming ambitious players to qualify for the Tour Finals and test themselves against the best. No need to change this, it's great as it is.

Now, if you want a tournament that was about pitting the best against the best, legends against the top players today, and so on, there's lots of space for a new tournament designed to do this (one that's separate from the AWP Tour Finals). I think Pardon was thinking maybe of doing this for MTL champions, for example.

I don’t like the idea either. You’ve put a lot of work into AWP and it can stand by itself.

There is room for improvement on how long the AWP finals take though. It’s been going on for over a year for 2019 finals and me and Rak have only completed 5 out of potentially 11 games. Against a slow player who takes three days for most turns it slightly spoils the event.

I have no idea how this can be fixed and maintain the high level competition :(

Anyway, I would like to clarify a misunderstanding.
Guys, AWP is not equal to the Tour!!!
AWP is more about quality ;) Quality of organizing competitions.
The Tour is just one of AWP’s products, ok, the only one right now, but that will change in the near future.
So please differentiate AWP from Tour ;)

• - On the podium, the situation was unchanged, but all three players continued to collect points and increase their advantage over the rest.
  - 89thlap won the second GS, and with that single result, he jumped to sixth place. But that doesn’t mean anything, because my assumption is that you need to get more than 2,000 points to qualify this year, so he won't be a participant with that one result alone. But hey, time to join more Tour event 89thlap! ;)
  Anyway, have you noticed that someONE! collects all the important titles (CL, MTL trophies, Tour Final champ, all GS wins, etc.) this year? :O :D

• - 2020 is still a very stormy year on the Tour, the Tornado is unstoppable, he increased his lead with a Masters quarterfinals and a 250 Series win, congrats!
  - Rak and Guest podium position remains secure.
  - Hergul collected a 250 final again, so his results in the best six category are the best (but there is still room for improvement in major events ;) )
  - Jimmy rocketed from 14th to 6th place reaching a Masters semifinal and a 500 Series final, congrats!
  - Malakkan also came up to 7th place from 11th reaching a Masters semifinal, congrats!
  - The two GG comrades continue to retain their qualifying place, ADHDnI had better last two weeks now, reached a Masters quarter-final spot.
  - Wini clung to a qualifying position again with a couple of major event points.
  - Master Bjarke and Beren came back to the TOP25 (PJ and MGO out)

• We have a few changes since the last update.
  - Malakkan rocketed to the second position with a Masters win, a Masters SF, and two small event Finals. And he passed the 2k limit as well, and with his current 2975 points he very likely qualified to the Tour Finals, congrats!
  - Rakleader slipped to third place, but follows Malakan closely (increased his points with a GS SF)
  - Hergul is the sixth players who passed the 2k limit, so he likely qualified to the Tour Finals too, congrats.
  - AI appeared in the TOP25 with a nice 500 Series win and a Masters SF, flew to the 14th.
  - Ze and FSG are new players in TOP25 too (Master USA, huddyj and Terence Kill out), the competition begins to intensify :)
