I seem to beat anyone I play rated less than 1500, but nobody above that. This is a good example:

I don't know how I could have played this otherwise. Any thoughts?

Your picks were terrible...
You had your first bonus completed after 3 turns...
You had no spreadability starting in america...
You had no available means of attacking asia due to wasteland in hawaii...
You took down Venezuela...
You took greenland...

If you insist on such picks, don't expand through wastelands. You should have struck antarctica directly (not attack venezuela) and maybe use hawaii to attack.

To be precise, imagine turn 7 with an 18 attack to Argentina. After you break antarctica you strike hawaii hard etc. That is how you attack, take the shortest way, not the longest.

But again, so that you do not misunderstand, just change your picks. They were the source of your loss in the beginning.

also, don't take bonuses with wastelands, especially with 2 wastelands in the same bonus

Much better picks, though I'd prefer india instead of greenland.

Turn 4:

You had the game won here. Just attack Sudan harder, you knew the enemy might be there.
No idea why did you deploy to china (or took Shaanxi the turn before), you should expand one bonus at a time, east africa for that matter, but ok, your opponent still screwed up.

Turn 6:

Now again you're better. You definitely must play reinforcement card here. Deploy 4 to mongolia (you'd take china in 2 turns) and deploy 15 to sudan. Play an order delay (you should have had it if I am correct), waste time with your armies behind the front and last order attack chad or libya (how to choose is a different matter). That should make you opponent surrender instantly.

Turns after:

Ok, you had the game won, now you have to struggle. Instead you try to take scandinavia (check the history to see where are the wastelands). You won only because your opponent wasted time for the wastelands and had no idea how to attack.
Game won, picks were good, but played very bad imho.

in the first game, with the strategy you used, Southwest should of been a mandatory first turn 4 attack, so you could have the chance to complete a bonus in turn 2.. with the attacks you did, you were ensuring you wouldn't have a bonus til 3, and 5 armies that early in the game is a big difference..
