In a "NATO show of force," thousands of US troops have been shipped to Poland... WHY!?

What point does this make? Putin already knows NATO hates him and his country. NATO already knows he doesn't give a shit.

Shows of force should be reserved for North Korea and other countries that want to play "notice me."

Is it to show Putin that the US is still a part of NATO, even if Trump doesn't want none of that? Is it to give a false sense of security to the Poles?

Someone in Europe, help me, because this poor Americentric mind can't fathom why someone, somewhere felt the need to send a bunch of US troops to moon Putin on the borderline.

The Poles were probably complaining to the US that they didn't feel safe, and other East Europe NATO countries joined in, so they sent troops.

yeah, Poles generally like USA fighters on their land, anyhow, this is absoltely nothing new, USA has had fighters there since early 2000s. And Polish polticians love to russia bash and call for war against the bloodthirsty and revenge for when Russia killed their vice-president.

Well yeah that's the reason Poland took them but not the reason the US sent them; it's not like the US cares about Poland or it's people. Of course individuals within the US government do, but I doubt Obama does.

USA will send their fighters anywhere where they'll be taken (and some others).
