So, you're halfway through the map making now, don't you?

Yup, I think so. I'm at 575 territories, of a total of 1119, that's 51,385165326184092940125111706881%! I should have opened a champagne bottle two days ago! Of course there are still numerous small and large bonuses that need to be set, and I'm nowhere near testing it, so I think I'm at about 30-40% of the total progress.
But hey, I have created 4 more maps while working at this one!

And has anyone ever found any missing connections or other errors yet?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but are you planning to keep the current bonuses you have as is? Or are you going to divide them into smaller ones and have those as super bonuses?

I stated many times before, including my previous post, I am using 4 layers: country bonuses, country regions (Flanders and Walloon for Belgium, and something else for NL, and none for Luxembourg), provinces (districts in Luxembourg), and COROP-areas in NL, arrondissements in Belgium, and Cantons in Luxembourg.

Thanks to easter, I have an extra long weekend, meaning more time to work on the map! I have already finished, connected and partly named 14 provinces, and Utrecht will be done soon.
After I'm done with the Netherlands, I think Belgium will slow down the progress a bit. That's because I had a very helpful [HD-image of the Netherlands](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e4/2012-NL-Gemeenten-50.jpg) WITH communes marked. Before I had to use Google maps images I copied directly from my screen, and pasted as close to the actual location on the map as I could, with the right size and angle. That caused terrible misplacement's of rivers, because one image relied on an other image, which relied on an other image, which relied on an other image, which relied on the basic coast or border, with none of those images with a perfect size and angle.
This may have to be done again for Belgium, unless someone knows a good, high-definition physical map. It doesn't have to contain the commune borders, I can overlay them myself, it's easier to do that when all national borders are visible. I couldn't find any good map on Google, but someone else might have more knowledge than I have.

Also, do you think I should redraw Vlaams Brabant? I don't like the communal borders now, but redrawing could take more time.

Could you link to the one you've used for the Netherlands? That way it will be much more clear what you're looking for; just "high definition" isn't very specific.

Is there something wrong with your browser? Mine shows this:

And I believe It will take more time. I have to redraw 65 territories, with the perfect borders. My fast method only works for drawing, not altering. I first wanted to check if anyone really cared before I started on it, like with the Amsterdam canals.

Nothing wrong with my browser, just me being either sleepy or just plain stupid; I completely missed the link. It sure looks like such a map is indeed available for Belgium, I'll see if I can hunt it down.

Okay, three answers:

- Does [this](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ef/Belgique-Communes589-Provinces10.gif) help?
- Otherwise, in the right margin on [this page](http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijst_van_Belgische_gemeenten_naar_bestuurlijke_indeling) you can get maps for smaller sections of Belgium. It at least looks like they'd line up properly...?
- The map you're using for the Netherlands seems to be "own work", so I put in a request with the author, asking if he could also upload the map for Belgium (if he has it of course). I'll let you know if/when he responds.

1. I am using that exact image right now.
2. I might have not said it clearly, but I don't need any communal borders, only the rivers and lakes and such.
3. Someone else already asked him, and he said he couldn't make it for some reason.

Small world! :p

Ah okay, my bad. When I have some time I'll continue searching.

Ah yes, he replied: "If I had it, I would upload it. But the faded white waved line has a meaning: the data set stops at about that point."
I assumed that if he had data for Northern Belgium (and Western Germany) he'd have it for all of Belgium (and Germany), but apparently not. Pity. :(

Okay, and still wondering whether I should redraw Vlaams Brabant or not. Give me your opinions.
And also, the Luxembourgian port Mertert (the only port of the country) is located on the Moselle, not the Rhine or the Meuse like the other ports. If you go down-stream from Mertert, you end up in the Rhina, which goes to Nijmegen and Wageningen. But connecting Mertert with either of those cities might be a little too much, because they lie so far apart.

And I'm done with Utrecht and Noord-Brabant.

Looks good so far.

You made an error with Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht (it isn't an territory at the moment)

I'm not sure what you where planning with the airports and ports, but I think connecting the port of luxembourg to nijmegen can improve the map, because it makes it less square.

the airport next to Antwerpen isnt connected with Woensdrecht. The map looks great but on my computer i see something weird between Ridderkerk, Zwijnsdrecht and Alblasserwaard.
