Most clans don't want an outside player representing them , it cheapens any success that they may have. Also as the outside player doesn't have any affiliation to the clan there is no guarantee they will try there hardest.

So if your really want to play you are going to have to look at some of the least established clans performing. World league are quite new and might allow you to play for them.

TL;DR just wait until a CL that you can play for a clan you actually care about.

You can give your main account(i probably guess this is your alt) and may be some clans will contact you regarding this.
If this is your main account, you can choose one of the clans yourself and clan leaders may let you in their clan.

What templates, between 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3, do you consider yourself to be the most employable on?

I can play on either template. I do better at 1v1 than 2v2 and 3v3 atm but that will change over the next few weeks hopefully.
