No. actually its a more human kill. Sure they are supposed to not leave the body, but they also leave a greater wound-channel, increasing the chances of a shock and greater bleeding. So they are still in use in hunting and sporting.
The reason why they are forbidden is that Germany dicked out about the UK using them. They are kinda OP on shorter ranges.

The Romanian troops reported new advances on the West front, taking the towns of Fagaras ,Cohalm,Hodmorod and Almas.There've been taken prisoniers 10 officers and aprox 800-900 soldiers, plus war equipment.
Fights on Streiului Valley.
76 prisoniers took on Bran Hill , after attacks and counterattacks by both sides.
The Germano-Bulgarian troops continues their advance into Dobrogea.
Artilery skirmishes alongside the Danube.Few enemy ships were sinked at the exit of Lom river.
Enemy airplanes bomb Constanta.5 dead and 4 wounded.

The German troops started moving towards Merisor.Romanian troops prepares defenses.
On Dobrogea, the Ruso-Romanian army started to retreat towards Rasova-Tuzla line

19.September.1916

Little skirmishes alongside the entire West front.
On Streiului valley, the enemy send big numbers of infantry and started to push back the Romanian troops.
On Dobrogea front, the enemy tried 2 times to attack the town of Enigea, but the attacks failed.

The Romanian troops retreating from Streiului Valley stoped at Petrosani,where they started helping the defenders.
Lots of enemy attacks on Dobrogea front.The Ruso-Romanian troops reppel them succesfully.
Enemy planes hit Constanta (wounding one man ) and Piatra Neamt (wounding 1 child and 5 persons )

21.September.1916

Fights on Caliman and Burghiului Mountanins, where have been captured 1 officer and 136 soldiers+1 machinegun.
An infantry detachment entred in the town of Odorheiul Secuiesc.
Enemy attack have been repeled on Jiu Valley.
Artylery duel between the Romanian battery in Zimnicea and the Bulgarian one in Sistov.
Fight continue on Dobrogea front.It have been reported that during one of their retreats, the Bulgaro-German troops burned some villages.

22.September.1916

Little skirmishes on West front.140 soldiers and 2 machineguns captured.
Bulgaro-German troops dug in in some positions on Dobrogea front.
Enemy planes bombed the town of Cernavoda,killing 7 people and wounding more,destroyed 3 houses and killed lots of animals.

23.September.1916

The Romanian troops are aproaching the town of Vatra Dornei,already assaulting the enemy trenches.
Also,the troops are advancing on the Calimanului Mountains.On the rest of the front, only patrool skirmishes.
On left flank of Dobrogea front have been reported a big artilery duel.The enemy retreated.
Our statistics try to count the enemy loses at Turtucaia.5000 rifles have been gathered from the area of 1 romanian division.

24.September.1916

Fights continue in Calimani Mountains.73 prisoniers made and 1 machinegun captured from enemy.
Our troops attacked east of Sibiu,succesfully defeating the enemy troops attacked.5 officers and 305 soldiers made prisoniersand 5 machineguns.
Enemy attacked repeled in Jiului Valley.
A full report on prisoniers : 43 officers and 6836 soldiers.
Skirmishes along the Danube.
After one attack, 1 officer and 53 prisoniers were made on Dobrogea Front.
