You'd still be able to see the sun, even if it's dark in the portion of the earth where you are. You can actually try this yourself, go in a dark room and shine a flashlight on the wall, you'll still be able to see the beam of light even if you're not standing directly in it's path.

I was just skimming through this thread because it is somehow still relevant, and I have to comment here:

No matter how far you go from eachother, if you have a powerful enough scope, you can always see the other ship.

This is simply not true, even with a theoretically perfect scope, you can only see as far as their is nothing blocking your path. Things like fog.

Fog was made by the world government to hide it's secrets.

@Buffalo, I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with fog.

Think of it like looking through a very thick forest with an a theoretically perfect lens, such a lens could see the entire flat Earth from Mt. Everest.

You look from any point in a super thick and you do not see more than 5 miles. You cannot see through trees, you cannot see through thick enough fog.

^im a bit of nihilist myself, and i agree that nothing can be truly known. that doesnt mean we just reject progress and keep our knowledge stagnant.

also the idea that were on a magic spinning ball flying in every direction at unimaginable speeds doesnt pass the venusian dog test. we rotate at 460 meters per second, we orbit the sun at 30 kilometers per second, and flying through space on top of that. yet small earthquakes destroy entire cities. its especially crazy when you consider how many holes there are in the spherical earth theory.

Possibly, but that's really beside the point. Like I'm serious there's this big huge building which whether or not it's a government mind-control program, is actually a real building that's next to my house (You can kind of see it in the picture I sent if you look closely).
