Olympus is now willing to allow new members to join without changing there name (a pre req to show loyalty) but of course this means you won't be able to become a leader or to effect how the clan grows. You (assuming you join) will still be invited to Olympus games and tournaments.
Anyone interested in joining the mortals or just the clan altogether private message me.
Preferred Pre-Requisites are:
Below 20% boot rate.
Friendly.
1v1 win rate 40%+
level 30+

Okay, I know you said preferred, but to be fair, as the leader, you should either set an example or lower standards a little bit. It feels kind of weird to be requiring something that the leader himself doesn't have :P

I know what you mean but those boots were from a long time ago when I couldn't take turns for a couple of weeks and like the WarLight junkie (that i am) I was in over 200 games which i got booted from. Needless to say i don't really play more than 4 or 5 games at a time now :P

*Olympus is now desperate enough to do anything to get promoted back into Division D next season

This doesn't really have anything to do with Clan League (the mortals thing was created before this clan league was even thought of but only got introduced on the forums just now)

Zephyrum,

Poseidó̱nas is not *the* clan leader. We are run by a council of members of which he is a rather recent voice (he was one of the clan founders, but had been absent for a while) on it. He has just taken the initiative of doing public general recruitment, as opposed to private recruitment that many of us have been doing.

It also strikes me as interesting, that instead of promoting your clans that you and Semicedevine seem to feel it necessary to attack another clan -- are your clans in such desperate straights that the only way you can promote them is to attempt to tear down others?

AOE is better than Olympus.

GeneralPE,

I've always though AOE was better than the examples that Zephyrum and Semicedevine are giving of members of their clans.

I'm glad you agree.

He has manager rights? If yes, he's the leader. Alongside anyone with them. It's a simple formula. Having a "council" won't change; the real leaders are those who have manager rights. And them all can be called leaders anytime, anywhere.

And if he's the one doing public recruitment, he should be the example. I mean, when you want that hot chick next door to notice you, do you go out with good, clean clothes that meet her standards or do you just move on with a tanktop and ripped shorts?

It also strikes me as interesting, that instead of promoting your clans that you and Semicedevine seem to feel it necessary to attack another clan

I'm not attacking a clan (semice is, kek). I'm pointing out something that will hurt poseidonas' - and alongside it, Olympus' - public image. If you're adding a prerequisite, that's fine. If you're going to allow some fluctuation on it, that's fine. But if you tell someone to publicly announce those prerequisites without meeting them, you tend to not earn the trust of the reader. A newcomer that sees this thread will just skip it over if he notices that.

are your clans in such desperate straights that the only way you can promote them is to attempt to tear down others?

Neither me nor semice are leaders or have manager rights in our respective clans. Neither of us is trying to recruit people, specially on someone else's thread. I wanted to point out an important little detail, Semice wanted to troll around like he usually does. Think what you will, my goal was not to tear down Olympus, but give a small heads up.

If I were to, I'd be using clear sarcasm and wouldn't write defensively with things like "Okay, I know you said preferred", "to be fair" and "It feels kind of weird".

EDIT: That said, end the derail here. Go back to working on recruitment rather than extending a pointless discussion. This'll not lead either of us anywhere.

Let's be honest - no one on Warlight goes out. That's what military grade spyware is for.

GeneralPE,

Yeah, I'd never go out with the hot chick next door -- my wife might get mad. Besides, I don't have any hot chicks living next door -- or across the street or behind us (now across the street and a couple of doors down is another story).

Besides, all the hot chicks when then talk to me preface my name with "Mr." or just say "Sir" -- guess that's what I get for living so long.

I have no doubt Olympus could surprise many people in that clan league, there are many talented players, most people knew only Hades but you may realize that they have also a solid team of good players in that clan.
And they have 2 legendary clan leaders, that are already seasoned and experienced (if you knew them well).

I have no doubt on the abilities of Olympus to beat most of their opponents in this clan league, since I myself was part of it for some time, few people know what they are really capable of :)
