Welcome every AWP World Tour Magazine readers!

This is a weekly based magazine where you can read EVERYTHING about the STARS of the Tour!
You will know what is the favorite food of Buns, or the name of MoD's cat, and so on...

Ok, this is not really true (only case if will be a volunteer who will do interviews with them :P )

But what you can read here those will be weekly summaries about what happened on the Tour in the previous week. Actual Ranking Lists, new and finished events, interesting pairings, results and so on.

Although the Tour started only yesterday but let me present some short news already :)

First of all, a reminder link about the concept:
https://www.warlight.net/Forum/156042-awp-world-tour

And here you can find the first event:
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19365

It was became full in a few hours, and 3 games already have finished (they was in realtime actually).

As KKND noted in the tourney chat, many players joined from the Turtles clan (5/16) and 2 of them already advanced to the quarterfinals. Congrats to the Turtles for the very good start!

3 finished games is nothing, but I still would like to show you the present standings:
Rank	Player Total points

1	ANT 45
1	culpa 45
1	Maréchal Lannes, duc de Montebello	45
2	13CHRIS37 0
2	Beren • apex 0
2	Buns157 0
2	DanWL 0
2	Don [ Ω ] 0
2	Hades 0
2	KKND 0
2	master of desaster 0
2	Muli 0
2	Niko Boubou 0
2	Oh 0
2	PanagiotisTheGreekFreak 0
2	Wini 0
Especially the detailed google spreadsheet, because that will be the place where I will register everything:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs/pubhtml

And I recommend your attention the sheet Events too, where you can check the finished, running and planned AWF World Tour events.

Well, that's all for this week.
Stay tuned for the next week edition :P

This really does seem like an awesome idea! I thank you for hosting this and I only wished you organised this after a certain amount of time after clan league started I could find the time to join :(

Great Idea and I will encourage others to join.

@MoD
It was surprisingly (for me at least). But you do not have to worry at all, because it was only the first 250 Series event, will be an event in every week, so you will have many chances to correct this issue :D

@Plat
You are welcome!
I already wrote about the starting date issue in the other topic.
I mean, I know that there are so many good competitions recently run or starting, but I can not do anything, this thing just came in my mind now, and I must to do it now ;)

And I think there is no any issue with it.
I mean, this is a neverending series, you can not miss anything if you join later.
Only the best six events will be counted from 500 and 250 Series events, and my plan is that will be 1 500 and 2 250 Series event in every months, so you will have enough chances to catch up with the others

Ok, maybe miss the major events mean some disadvantages if you want to reach the TOP10 position asap, but if you are patient then you will have time to do it (because next year you will have chance to win them).

And we are speaking about 1 major events per month (and only 1 Grand Slam (the most important events) per season) in Single Elimination format (only 1 plus game to you per tourney and only until your first lose). This is (intentionally) a very fast format.

And again, this is mostly a fun series.
So just come and make some funs (and do your hard work in Clan League :P )

Additionally some small news from the Tour.

The registration topic of the second Tour event was created:
https://www.warlight.net/Forum/160250-awp-world-tour-500-series-battle-islands-v

5 new games were ended in the first event, so I made an update in the Ranking List:
https://www.warlight.net/Forum/160250-awp-world-tour-500-series-battle-islands-v
Rank	Player Total points
1	ANT 90
1	PanagiotisTheGreekFreak 90

2	Maréchal Lannes, duc de Montebello	45
2	master of desaster 45

3	Wini 0
The little big (capital letters :) ) ANT diligently collects shiny (Apex and Masters) scalps.
But the Greek is close behind! (ok, actually the same position (just alphabetical disadvantage), but sounds better this way :) )

They are the early heroes of the Tour! ;-)

Daily news from the Tour.

The second event on the Tour has been created and filled in a few hours, just like the first event, despite the double size. Great :)

Tourney link: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469

I would like to welcome another veteran Warlight star, Summer, on the Tour ;-)
And the Tour gave her a gift, a nice game immediately in the first round against MoD :)
It seems a very good fight, gl hf :)

Most players (4) from the Turtles again, but there are players from 20 clans now! Nice :)

Hmm, it seems that the invitation method is not very clear for many people.
Ok, it is not very simple, but I hope that sooner or later will be clear for everybody.

I try to help you.

I introduce a new feature for the most simplest way to join the Tour.
  • Permanent Wild Card request
You only have to write to me here or any other AWP topic or PM that you want to join in this way.
After this you automatically will be on the Wild Card request list for every AWP World Tour events (until you write to me you would like to leave) It is not guaranteed that you will be invited, but you do everything what you can (I mean with the minimum effort, without understand the system :P).
And here are some details about the invitation method:
  • Irregular invitations in the beginning
Until there will be enough players on the Ranking List (100+ players with points (higher than 0)), I will use this invitation method, what means I will invite everybody who was invited to the previous event (here you can check the present invite list: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469)
If you are not in this list but would like to join, simple write to me here or any new event topics or PM (and write to me also if you are in the list but would like to leave).
  • Regular invitation method
You can find it in the AWP World Tour topic, and will be more detailed after we will have reached this 100+ players threshold.
Finally, I try to explain how the invitation method works from the players' point of view:
  • Will be one AWP World Tour events in every week
  • On every Monday will open a new topic for the actual weekly events (including all the details such as: when the tournament will be created, on which template, how many participants, etc.). These topics' names always will start exactly with the "AWP World Tour -" strings, so you can easy search them.
  • The weekly tournaments will be created always on Wednesdays.
  • So there will be 2 days for everybody to join (requesting Wild Card) to the actual weekly event, simple writing a post into this actual weekly event topic until Wednesday.
Or you can request Permanent Wild Card too of course (see above).
Or if you understood the system, and know that you will be invited because your ranking list position (or the irregular way above) you do not have to do anything (but if not sure then preferably write a post it won't be problem :) )
  • One event per weeks possible mean a lot of games for you, so you can plan your participation exactly, using the "Events" tab on this google spreadsheets: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs You can find here the event schedules with all necessary info.
  • Best practice if you try to join to all the major tournaments (one per months: 4 Grand Slam, 8 Masters in a year) and just as many smaller (500 and 250 Series) tourneys which games volume is not too much for you.
This is because you can gain the most points from the major events (especially from the 4 Grand Slam) and only your best six results will be counted from the 500 and 250 Series events (the possible maximum points from the smaller events is 3000 (six 500 Series tourney win) while you gain 2000 points if you win only one Grand Slam)

@Markus: you are in the actual invite list, because you were invited to the previous tourney (just you were too slow to join :P or simple did not want to join to that tourney ;) )

  • AWP World Tour - 250 Series - Guiroma
    https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19365
    Left only 3 games.
Don, the Turtle Killer (in the first two rounds he defeated two Turtles), is already in the final, and 3 Turtles are fighting in the other bracket side for the opportunity to revenge on their fellows :)

  • AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Battle Islands V

Good progress here too, 4/8 players already qualified into the quarterfinal (and what a names!)
Mod won the derby in the first round againts Summer, it was a really bloody fight.

  • The third event started, the registration topic created
    https://www.warlight.net/Forum/161324-awp-world-tour-250-series-france-ld
The tournament will be created on this Wednesday after 23:00 CET
It is an LD tourney (France LD) I am curious how successful it will be.

  • You can find some help in my previous post about how to join to this series, worth reading

  • Because the 250 Series events (16 players) "filled stupidly fast" and more players missed them, from now on I will use larger (32 players) size for the 250 Series event, and the first round will be a kind of qualification round, the winner of this round will get 10 points only (and the second round winner will get 45 points, so stay the same point for the quarterfinalist as earlier)
Also I will always post into the forum topic of the actual event the exact time when I will send the invitations out, and I try to do this as varied as I can. These time will be beetwen 04:00-24:00 CET (the rest 4 hours always belong to my sleep time :D), and maybe not only Wednesdays.

  • I have changed the event schedules informations according to this, and other two changes in the Event tab:
    • decided that the last event on July will be on RAD-O§IL
    • the next event (Strategic Greece) will be 500 Series instead of 250 (meaning more points)
for more details check the Event tab of the google docs link above

  • The templates for the 500 and 250 Series events will be decided monthly, in the previous months by the community.
In practice, this means that the first days of every months I will open a topic where the community can propose templates for the two (or three) 250 and the one 500 Series events in the next month. And the end days of the months I will pick up 3 (or 4) from them and register them in the google spreadsheet as the following 500 and 250 Series events.

But the major events (4 Grand Slams, 8 Masters) should be decided now.
I have made a 25-piece template list from which I will choose the templates of the 12 major events, please help me find the best ones.
