That's because certain regions of Japan and sectors of Japanese life can instill isolation, contempt and self-hate. It's the nature of a place with high living costs.

I always find it strange that Japan still manages to have so many suicides despite having practically no guns. To put this into perspective, around 3.4 out of every 100,000 people are murdered by guns in the US. In japan, 19.4 people per 100,000 commit suicide.
that's the impact of societal pressure to succeed academically, something else the US is missing, which while is a negative in terms of life, also results in a society where people are expected to be reasonably smart enough to be functional in an even further advanced society, so the price of human life to have a society without high school drop-outs(for the most part).

The Tokugawa shogunate essentially prohibited guns by extending gun manufacturing regulations to such a huge extent that they couldn't function. The Japanese post-Shogunate government was also very strict on guns, going so far to totally ban the Taiwanese from having them, which started a long guerrilla war where thousands of Japanese and Taiwanese folk died. Guess what, Japan didn't rise out of the sea in 1945.

So you want to make a "great" society for whom? What's even the point of such a "great" society when no one likes it? Who judges that that society is great? Sounds like a awful path and a awful goal.

I'm 99% certain this is a trollbait, but I can't be sure with people like TeamGuns.

Do toddlers shoot with the intent to hurt or kill? Are they able to demonstrate knowledge and consequences of their actions?

This has to be the most pathetic analogy I've seen. And I don't even pay much attention to gun control.

Good God.

It's a parody of D. Trump planning to bar all Muslim immigration ("just to get his bearings" or something like that).
