Probably the most milked article of the year, but I have to shove it in you redneck and hyper-libertarian's faces.

Wow xD these guys really love this.

And it's true. Lololol.

Not only does it cost lives, but it turns each one of these toddlers into killers, and later in the lives when they realise what they actually did, it will haunt them forever.

Basically, get rid of yo guns.

While we're at it let's get rid of Cars too. They kill a whopping 32,000 people per year in the US.

Basically don't own a gun if you have a kid, or actually lock it away. No "getting rid" of gun won't work, it's impossible, the state is not god and can't do what ever it wants realistically.

I say we should ban all toddlers from comming to the US until we understand what is happening! We should also have a list of all toddlers so we can keep track of them and avoid these fuckers from killing us at will.

I believe that will solve the problem.

Let's not forget things we can fit in our mouths! Choking has caused thousands of deaths per year! There's only one way to guarantee that no one will choke and that is to make everything so big that we can't even fit it in our mouths.

guns are specifically designed to kill things

u transport with a car

should there be limits on weapons that r intended to kill things

ya

dylan purchased a legal gun. he was granted his gun after a three day waiting period. they didn't have enough time to investigate whether he should have a gun or not. 3 days later and u get it automatically

wow I agree with waco most! (and TG I guess, because it was obviously satire xD - it just sounds a lot funnier to say "i agree with waco the most" than "I agree with TeamGuns the most" because 1 you'd actually expect)

I'm totally against guns, but banning or regulating them has just been shown time and time to practically none effect on murder rates. So if both the free and law way have the same outcome, then do the free way.

Japan, suck it b*tches, they actually managed to ban guns.

Secondly, we could actually replace cars, but Americans like there freedom too much, and are unwilling to pay for a nation-wide trains system, and secondly driver-less cars should resolve 90+% of crashes, as these are due to human error.

On murder rates, sure. On accidental killing rates, which 75% of shootings in the us are, outlawing guns would reduce such a rate if you can actually ban them successfully(which should be possible, Japan did it).

Japan banned them effectively when they started coming in, stop using it as a example for the US to follow.

I always find it strange that Japan still manages to have so many suicides despite having practically no guns. To put this into perspective, around 3.4 out of every 100,000 people are murdered by guns in the US. In japan, 19.4 people per 100,000 commit suicide.

It's pretty dumb to try to replace cars with trains since we've already spent around 600 Billion dollars on the best highways in the world.

That's mostly false. Handguns were banned early on yes, but rifles were allowed until 1971, and that law is still being grandfathered in. As such, it would be possible to move forward with such a plan in the US, passing a law that required the turn in of guns once the owner dies by the heirs.

Edit: Here's how to get and keep a gun with ammo in japan.
first, you have to attend an all-day class and pass a written test, which are held only once per month. You also must take and pass a shooting range class. Then, head over to a hospital for a mental test and drug test (Japan is unusual in that potential gun owners must affirmatively prove their mental fitness), which you’ll file with the police. Finally, pass a rigorous background check for any criminal record or association with criminal or extremist groups, and you will be the proud new owner of your shotgun or air rifle. Just don’t forget to provide police with documentation on the specific location of the gun in your home, as well as the ammo, both of which must be locked and stored separately. And remember to have the police inspect the gun once per year and to re-take the class and exam every three years.
