After much deliberation, it has been decided that I have fully returned to Warlight, and that Illuminati is a clan that should still continue to exist as a clan with its own identity.


To start, Illuminati's management applauds the merger from former Illuminati into Hydra. We wish them the best of luck.

Illuminati's second generation was a competitive teaching clan, and I wish to continue that tradition to an extent, but I also wish to introduce something new to Warlight. Such is the way to evolve: innovate, and counter-innovate. So:

Illuminati will be restructured as a corporation. Its value and output will be the sum of its players' ratings on the ladders. This will mean that all members in the clan will need to be ranked on at least one ladder at all times, or face removal. The clan business will be to invest its funds into players' ratings on the ladders as if it were a stock market. In addition, individual players will be able to invest individually.

The clan's investments and other various decisions will be made by vote weekly by shareholders. The percentage of ownership a shareholder has over the clan will determine his total vote. Shareholding, however, will not have any influence over management rights.

We will be looking for competitive or semi-competitive players with a passion for improving their skill. Having a gmail account is strongly advised, as you will want to be able to track your own progress in investing.

This idea will be fleshed out further, but that's the general plan moving forward.

What do you mean by investment?

A person's ladder rating is its price tag. A player rated 1800 on the 1v1 ladder is worth $1800. If ranked on more than one ladder, it is the sum of the ratings; thus, a person ranked on 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and RT ladders simultaneously will max out his potential value. We'll be ignoring seasonal for now.


Initially, you will need to be ranked on at least one ladder to join Illuminati, and you will then have to stay ranked on at least one ladder to remain in the clan.




The clan's stock value will be the sum of the ratings of the clan's players, and will rise & fall accordingly. You will be given $1,000 in imaginary funds, plus one share in yourself that you can sell to trade in shares of something else. Thus, in the beginning you will own 100% of yourself, in addition to $k to buy in another person; that person must be ranked on the ladders.



Your goal, in the long term, is to become wealthy enough to control the clan's voting process as a dominant shareholder. Perhaps owning a dominant share in the value of other clans, and other individuals, could be an interesting thing to toy around with in the future.

Thus, if I am rated 1700 on the 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 ladders, I would be valued at $5100. If the clan has three people that are all rated 1700 on the above ladders, the total stock value of the clan itself would be $15300 per share -- expensive to buy, but once you hold a share you can vote on where the clan's funds would invest. The clan's funds would be a separate entity to the individual funds of its members.

We will also be accepting alts for the time being. The more the merrier, at this point. That said, however, your main account or your alt must be ranked on a ladder before you are eligible to join. Contact me if interested. You must join with a main account if you wish to be considered for a management position.

So, can the Alt be "dead"? Or you know very infrequently used?

Edit: I'm currently not ranked on any ladder on any of my accounts, but I will in the future? RT & 2v2 Ladders are going to be a lot better soon.
