Player joins in a 1v1 with me. I check my history, see that player entered game with me earlier and ended up auto-booted. In fact, player has a 35% boot rate. When player again shows signs of giving up on game, I ask about high boot rate and if the plan is again to get booted. I am not polite in my asking. My inquiry most certainly falls less on the constructive side and more on the rude. Player reports me. Warlight warns me not to be rude again. I have no problem with receiving this warning; I agree I was over the top, and I support the policy 100%. Rudeness is unnecessary, rarely effective and almost always inefficient.

And rudeness - the definition of rudeness - is exactly my point here. In my opinion, a 35% boot rate is the epitome of passive-aggressive gaming rudeness. Should Warlight be equitable in defining types of rudeness? Wouldn't it be swell if there was a system in place to warn high-boot rate players, and if said players continue said behavior, to kick them out for good?

Make your own 1v1 games with a boot rate filter, problem solved. I agree that abandoning games (especially team games) is very rude, but there is no need for you to get upset about it or stoop to their level of rudeness. At worst it is just a free win for you, and if you're playing against the caliber of player who gets booted often you were probably going to win anyway.

Host your 1v1 games with a limit on boot rate. Problem solved.

This has actually happened in one case, I believe. (That was an extreme case, mind you. As in <100% boot rate.)

As already mentioned, Filters are your friend :D
+ Join a clan to get more reliable players to play with.
Optional, you can B-list players with high boot rate (they can't join your game)

- Would you please link the game to see chat what you mean by rudeness?

Sanitation Engineer I see your point, but would it benefit Developers? They make living through Ads + membership. Some of the high boot rate players are actually members, secondly Add-money. Even the Forum spammers generate small add money to Developers. As pointed above Boot Filter is your friend and so it is mine.

I do not think it is rude to have high boot rate, there could be many reasons for some players high boot rate. And rudeness is quite plainly understood in from of language. It could be impolite to get booted in Team-game, but not rude generally.

I think you should ask yourself, why care about someone elses bootrate. Usually they get booted, because they understood they are going to loose, so in your perspective nothing changes except you increase their boot-rate statistics.

As you have been here since 2012, I assume you understand that internet and especially Warlight is not home to the best of ethical people. Nor are many players here aware of ethics in sport, competition and games. Its just wishful thinking to see it as their second nature! As the best pessimists says: Hope for the worse and you never will be disappointed :)
