The Deep Web is sickening. From videos of people's experiences to stories from personal friends. I can infer it's a sickening place, where criminals have free range.

When there are no guys in town I get my heroine from here.

Most of the websites are harmless junk. Some of them are just blogs or Facebook. But there's a separate term, the Dark Web, for the horrendous websites.

Essentially the internet but unregulated, there is some pretty cool information you can't find on the normal web, but also child porn, scams, videos trying to be edgy, snuff porn, markets etc.

It is untraceable, so you can't really get caught. People mostly use bitcoins for payment. Apparently you can hire assassins, buy drugs and firearms, and acquire child pornography.

Genghis summed it up pretty nicely. Most of the sites on the Deep Web are harmless. But it is true that a lot of terrible things go on there. It is basically an internet version of anarchy. People can still be found even using the Deep Web (FBI found Silk Road servers), but it is very difficult to find people who cover their tracks while using a torrent. The Deep Web is really interesting and intriguing, and it is completely legal to "surf" the Deep Web. Just be sure to stay on the legal and ethical side of things.

Basically web pages that are not indexed (don't show up) in standard search engines. You can use Tor web browser to access these un-indexed web pages, by some estimates, these un-indexed pages make up 95% of all webpages.
