So I was playing a 1v1 1 territory auto pick game on Rise of Rome, and we started 3 turns away from each other, we were disappointed so we had a rematch. The same thing happened. We had a rematch, this game we met after 1 turn! NEXT GAME WE ARE TOGETHER ON OUR STARTING SPOTS! I know this will happen sometimes but it is funny.

So if you have any crazy Warlight coincidences, share them here!

Just don't go for auto distribution. That's a newbie thing and makes the game be less strategic most of the time... Also 1 pick for RoR is not a lot lol.

yeah autopicks can be strategic if the number of picks increases and the map isn't too big. It can be fun and involves a different kind of thinking and risk management. I sometimes play auto picks esspecially since with manual the games can be repetitive. You may know that your opponent favours certain picks and you could use that to your advantage however with auto you don't have that luxury

Well, that's pretty much a strategic aspect too. To know your ennemy, and even better, to make some different picking to try and surprise him is really fun as well.

There are no coincidences. It all depends on the decisions we make. If our counterpart
makes the same decision at the same point of time as we do, then we might meet each other.

If it´s a computer then it´s math. The computer does its math and-dandum-you end up next to each other.

I like auto dist, as what I mostly played when I was new, rarely play it now, but every now and then it's still fun, just don't take it as seriously. It's a good thing to play when drunk and I don't really want to think too much.

Any good RoR player would say the same that he hates auto.

Negative. Being good and caring about winning are not one and the same.

You made 5 picks. They were mediocre picks at that.

You began by taking Eastern Russia instead of Central Russia which you picked - horribly inefficient.

Turn 4 you hit your opponent and then did delay moves when it made no sense to do so.

You expanded into Australia while continuing to not take Central Russia.

I'm aware that's not RoR, but you can't be a good RoR player if you fail to play Warlight well on a fundamental level.

I'm no pro on the 1v1 ladder, but that game was hilarious.

I agree with both posts above mine.

I'm amazed AceK even won that game. I played the same guy and beat him easily, recliner isn't a hard opponent at all.

Anyway, what happened to discussing Crazy Coincidences in the game...
