YES there is a level limit. This was asked in Fizzer's latest twitch Q/A thing. However, I believe it is in the billions, sort of like it used to be on youtube (for the view counter) before Gangnam Style got too many. I forget exactly what Fizzer said, but it is in his recorded Youtube video of it.

Of course alhazi isn't the only guy at the level 65, but he's the one with the highest ammount of points anyway... Thus he is the player with the highest level (even though he is "tied" with others).
