Americans were beat by civilians with guns in Vietnam. British were beat by civilians with guns in American War for Independence. What's the difference?

I'd have to argue that North Korea is the most successful Country ever, Nuclear weapons, a huge, well funded army, not to mention it's the only place you can find a living Unicorn and that Kim God Un Himself leads the Nation into Glory.
