I think you can say real horrible things in chat, and do anything that is against the rules and your account will be terminated at some point. I am not sure just how much mayhem is required, but please let me know when you figure it out
You cannot have your account deleted, due to the way warligth is created. You can give it away, change the password and email to some random stuff, just not log in, or get permanently banned.
Just saying, it may be okay in america, but Warlight is currently outlawing the European datas protection laws. There is a right to be forgotten online.
The very idea of a 'right to be forgotten' has its origins in the French and Italian legal concept of a 'right to oblivion'.
The possible penalties fines could be as great as 500,000 euros.
Should I initiate an European Justice action against Warlight?
"Limitations of application in a jurisdiction include the inability to require removal of information held by companies outside the jurisdiction."
No such law for any site operating outside the US. The law also doesn't work the way you're claiming.
Not to mention the law does not in any way relate to sites having to have a way to self-delete. It's more a form of protection against information that can damage someones life if not deleted.
ie. You could request picture of yourself or posts containing your RL name and address to be deleted, but your random posts on a forum in no way ruin your anonymity outside of the site.
Good kid, some very famous websites had to pay huge penalties for bypassing and breaking the very law I was referring to. I know what I am saying, I had some law classes centered about this very topic. Nevertheless, I am sure Europe would not give a damn at all for minor and small websites, do not worry, even if Warlight is truly breaking some European Court rules.
