Currently, we cannot add players to existing mail threads. This isn't always a problem, but if you are trying to send mail to 10-15 players and forget to add one, you have to completely remake the mail thread. Also, you may want to add someone else later to a discussion, but can't with the current mail thread system.

I can't imagine that it'd be very time consuming to program a way to add players after a mail thread has been created. I'm also sure there are many more players than just me who want this simple fix.

Agree %100. I often use chat games (which suck) to get around the fact you cannot add someone to a mail thread.

Renaming mail threads would be really helpful too. When running a clan league I might have dozens that say "Clan league Roster" in the title. Would be nice to be able to rename them to something more useful (like in email clients, you can add to the "RE:" even if someone does not put in a subject, so that you now have one)

What we need is not the ability to add players to a Mail, the Mails are supposed to be like a PM- private. Imagine I say to Chris that JSA is *insert something mean here*, and then Chris add JSA to that thread.. ofc that's a silly example, but you get the point.


Instead I think we should get another additional mail system, that can include multiple ppl, and allow to add players to the discussion. (as well as removing yourself), you can do this with chat games, but its certainly not ideal. we need a group mail.

How about making the person who created the mail the only one capable of adding players? This would solve what Hennns just said.

no there is a proper uservoice for this unless it got deleted. Someone posted a thread about 2 weeks back talking about improvements to warlight and I suggest a bunch of points to do with mail and he included everything in a uservoice. I remember using 3 votes to upvote it

Well, really the current system should not be called "mail" at all. It is really more of a PM system like you say.

It should be renamed "Messaging" rather than mail, and a new mail system should be added with these functions:

Renaming mail
Adding/removing users from a mail chain
Deleting mail from your inbox
Searching mail
Sorting mail (promoting/starring/etc)

although the uservoice has a bunch of other ideas as well. You can see the mail removal is there.

While both have important features to be added ChristCMU's uservoice is much better and more whole for mail reforms

And yeah, that one linked by Nogals is not focused enough. It is regarding forums, mail system, etc. Those are separate systems. I HIGHLY doubt Fizzer would do anything on an idea with too big of a scope on it.
