We aren't even stuck with trolls. We are stuck with people who think they are trolling. Callin these wannabes trolls would be giving them too much credit than they deserve.
To be a troll in the classical sense, there has to be an "in-crowd" of people who recognise that you are trolling, so we may as a community draw humour from those that are baited. Else you really are just shit-posting...
For example usually when I troll, it's a statement that is obviously false to any regular, but a noob may well be thrown off by. This is more akin to what people would call "sarcasm" or "a joke" eg: "It's best to make all your picks in bonuses with wastelands."
The "modern troll" or "idiot" does neither of these things and believes that shit-posting, and thereby annoying regulars, is humourous. I'm afraid that true trolling is the opposite of this, it's humourous to regulars and generally adds depth to a forum. Being an "idiot" purely satisfies only the fetish the poster suffers from. More akin to masturbation, but in public.
