Hello, I am currently mostly through the process of making my first map on WarLight! I am fairly new to WarLight so this map could probably use some readjusting bonus wise and maybe some connections, it is a very small map made for quick 1v1 or 2v2 (That's pushing it) games. If you would like to help message me or leave a post on this thread. (Please just one or I might add you to multiple games, which is fine if you'd like to be in more then one game.) Just specify whether you want to be in a real-time or multi-day game and I will add you.

Like I said I am new, so any input or criticism (Constructive) would be appreciated. :)
Thanks

Thanks Japan completely forgot about this, (Still new)

I would be glad to test your small map. Preferable multi-day.

To get any comments, you should paste the link of the map, that'll probably gain you some aid.

It is very well drawn for a first map, an looks ready to pend public to be honest. Only one thing...

Currently two of the corner island has only one connection, making them pointless. I would suggest either to make them a 1 bounus, and a start position in a Distribution Mode, or simply get rid of them. EDIT Another option, make them a 'portal' so they connect to each other.

(And yeah 2v2 is pushing it xD Looks fun/good for a symmetrical map tbh.)

The map is a 3, almost a 4 in my opinion.

(I found no missing connections, I see no need to alter the bonuses, except what I mentioned above, same for connections)

I only have one question...

What is your next map? :)

Eh thanks TBest!

With those islands They are almost always used in distribution but it is true that they can be useless, and the other two islands are at and advantage for quick expansion, so adding a bonus could be a smart idea, thank you

I have been pretty busy lately and had issues with this one so it took me about 3 days, also trying to figure out how to use a vector based program was tricky 0_o. I was very driven though as this was my first map, so probably a week ish.

Something wrong with the Hades bonus on the map, when I click on it nothing highlights. Looks like a pretty interesting 1v1. The positioning islands vs the bonus islands is an interesting touch

I see you already published your map but some feedback for next time:

- Some places that connect do not visibly connect. For example Upsilon and Phi.

- The overal shapes: The way they are arranged does not remind of a natural archipelago, the shapes remind me of amoeba or something, which is fine but then I find it odd that you divided the territories with straight lines instead of more curved ones. I don't think this combination works very well but that's a matter of taste of course.

- The map is called the philosophical islands but the names don't have anything to do with philosophy, or even Greek philosophers. It's four Greek gods and a lot of Greek letters. Maybe you should call them the Greek alphabet islands? Or go for only gods and call them the pantheon islands?
