I'm Flemmish de facto 'Belgian' although I rather joke about it . It's not uncommon in Flanders , just like Gerrit and his peerd.

Languages:

Gaga oegoe - baby language (learnt at birth)

(South-West-)Flemmish - (since I was 2 years old)

Dutch - I have learnt this language on elementary school. (I was 6 years old)

French - (began learning at the age of 8)

(Ch'tis) French Flemmish - French dialect around Hazebrouck (learnt at the age of 10)

English - (I was folowing English lessions at the age of 13)

German - Horrendously bad, had a 41% for my exams for German when I was 16, still passed through(taught in school at the age of 14)

For the future:

Spanish - maybe soon but due the financial crisis I rather don't want to.

Serbian - A friend of me now tries to teach me Serbian.. without succes. I just have learnt some swearwords in Serbian.

Japanese - At this moment I only know some hentai terms from my ex-girlfriend of 2 years ago.

Polish (since birth)

French (since I was 6. Came to Belgium at that age and my parents wanted me to know French rather than English. Well, today, I wouldn't have made that choice, to be honest, but it is how it is)

English (for 4 years. Surprisingly not much. I learned a lot chatting on the net)

I also know bits from Italian and Spanish, as well as from German, but I doubt it's enough to communicate efficiently and be understandable. More or less like Belgian Gentleman knows Serbian :P

I never actually learned Flemish/Dutch. Even though I technically live in Flanders (5 km away from Brussels, but Brussels is surrounded by Flanders)

Culture - We drink a lot of vodka, steal a lot of cars and we are pretty much a glorified Jewish graveyard for many people.

English and Japanese.

As for culture in Australia we like sport, pretending to be more cultured than we are, hating either Queensland or New South Wales (two main Australian states). And also convincing foreigners that we ride kangaroos too school. We do honestly.
