Yes they will. All other years until now, the two major nationalist parties (CiU and ERC) got more than half the votes among them. This year, they allied, and with other more parties, will have a 10% fewer votes according to polls. Those are the facts, like it or not.

Emm, it was obvious they would win. That's no surprise for anybody. The thing is, they said this was a plebiscitary election, and still they lost. The CUP has stated that more than a clear majority of votes is needed. You are just assuming things that aren't true. I bet this is the end of Artur Mas.

I was at the Junts Pel Si victory rally, and the national day. I'm Northern Irish and a student of politics so I went because it was interesting not because I believe them.

I think Catalonia should be given a referendum and it would fail. They should also be given the same monetary powers as Navarro and the Basque Country.

Independence is a bit far and has too many unanswered questions, notably on the EU and the Euro.

Like the voting's gonna matter. Spain knows it's doomed without Catalonia, even if they gain independence it'll probably become another FYROM-Greece thing with Spain blocking Catalonia from joining the EU and NATO.

Doesn't Galicia also want independence? And the Basques?

When the so-called Flanders region in northern "Belgium" (I doubt Belgium's existence) is going to be independent then we Flemish are going to get really happy because then we will finally live in an existing country!
