If you want a real candidate, and not a racist guy who orders trophy wives on Amazon, doesn't drive businesses to the ground, and has real ideas, look to Bernie Sanders.

Right now Sanders is the sole candidate on the democrat side that I'd consider voting for.

Do you really want a president that jumps to conclusions from a magazine article? After all, he could say anything and then backtrack. He could take away all your rights if he got into power as after all, if he's willing to lie to get into power then the lies won't stop when he's there.

I'd like a source that confirms Trump flat out saying, "All Mexicans are rapists,". So far everyone who's brought this up just keeps misquoting his speech referring to ILLEGAL immigrants, NOT Mexicans as a whole.

My analysis (from my very Right Leaning perspective).

Democrat side:

Hillary - A horrible person who will do whatever it takes to get ahead even if what it takes happens to be illegal.

Biden - He is the ultimate in wishy washy and will do whatever he thinks might be most popular at any given time. Easily manipulated by others

Bernie - The most honest democratic candidate out there. He is a self-avowed socialist and for that he scares me, but I would rather have an honest person that I disagree with in office than a dishonest person that says they agree with me.

Republican side:

Trump - A blowhard who thinks it's ok to be offensive just because he's an American. Gets angry too quick. Relies on his gut to make decisions too much. Has a proven track record of switching sides on major positions with little to no explanation. Basically the republican version of Hillary. If he gets the republican nomination, I will be voting 3rd party.

Rand Paul - This is my candidate of choice. A strict constitutionalist that doesn't mind bucking his own party and doesn't seem to mind others trying to demonize him.

Ted Cruz - I like most of his positions. I would be very happy to have him as the nomination. The one problem I see is he seems to veer in and out of the republican establishment. One day he's bucking the party and standing for what is right, the next, he's toeing the party line.

Huckabee, Carson - I like them both, but neither one excites me. Clearly establishment candidates. Marginal, but nothing to write home about.

Fiorina - I don't have many feelings on her as a candidate, but I dislike her as a leader. My company works very closely with HP on a number of things and her tenure at HP left me with a very jaded opinion of her. Want to know why the price of printer ink has risen tenfold in the last ten years? She is that reason.

All other republican candidates - Don't know much about them. They don't seem to inspire anyone. If they were the nominee maybe I could get behind them...maybe. More likely, I would just vote 3rd party.

Republican's:
Trump: Other than combating illegal immigration and foreign policy he is by far the most liberal of the GOP candidates on everything from taxes, gay rights, abortion and healthcare (he opposes Obamacare in practice but is on board with the general principal).
Massive egotistical jackass who would never win over the independents so is unelectable.

Fiorina: Little to no experience with dealing with Congress, or politicians in general.
But, business experience, female, very conservative, untainted by DC politics.
Perfect choice for VP, if you're into box ticking rather than winning or getting bills through.

Carson: Deeply religious, obviously intelligent, inexperienced. Add 'black' and take out 'female' and you've got yourself a much more popular, Fiorina-esque VP.

Paul: Less of a true libertarian than his dad, but still socially less awful than most of the others. Will never get on the ticket.

Huckabee & Cruz: Religious nutcases who openly supports people who wipe their arses with the constitution. Would be dead last on my list of preferences for basically any job. Cruz is marginally worse.

Bush: Vast experience at state level, family pedigree, backing from Congressmen and donors. More liberal than many of his opponents so he can drag in a few independent voters. Speaks Spanish, could help with latinos, former Gov. of key state of Florida.
3rd Bush in 30 years. The last two sucked. It's between him and Rubio for the top job.

Rubio: Calls on American dream, latino, Florida again, young, experience in DC, liberal on immigration, less shouty about his religion.
Would be my second choice.

Kasich: Could carry Ohio, on the liberal wing, untainted by DC.
Would be my choice for President, from the side, would make a great VP candidate.

Tactically, a ticket of Rubio and Kasich for Veep would be very hard to beat. I can't see Kasich getting near it though.

Democrats:
Clinton: Experienced, ruthless, deeply divisive. Probable candidate.
Moderately liberal, middle of the road on economics, very uninspiring, scandals everywhere.

Biden: Nice guy, bit useless, probably won't run.

Sanders: The only candidate who would get elected to any office in Europe. Equivalent to the average centre-left person over here.
Unelectable in the US, but would have my vote any day.

Hillary will find some high profile, uninteresting, middle age, male ex Gov. or Senator to join her on her ticket. Just like when Biden followed Obama.
Hopefully she wins.

Rubio and Kasich aren't necessarily anyone's first choices, but they are better than any of the other lunatics/morons that the GOP has mustered. They are moderate, one is Latino, one is a WASP.

They would probably carry the two biggest swing states in the country and could attract votes from independents and Latinos. Both of whom are necessary to win the White House.

Ultimately it doesn't matter if they aren't the choice of hard line republicans. They would still march down to the polling booths in their thousands and tick off the best hope of stopping that evil Democrat woman, with her disgusting caring attitude towards the poor and her willingness to accept people for who they are.

Rubio/Kasich would win, but becaus they don't appeal to the rich, white 'Christian' dickheads living on former plantations in Alabama who wouldn't live up to single Christian value if Jesus himself rose from the dead and told them to, they will never get the chance to represent the party that has completely abandoned all of the ideals of both the founding fathers and of its own great leaders like Lincoln.

But Trump will most probable win the battle between the cannibalistic republican candidates.
And Clinton might be the first choice of the Democrats,

Don't bet too much on that. We've got our own variety of nutcase right-wingers, led by our current Prime Nutjob, Stephen Harper. Unfortunately for Canada, he's a lot shrewder and wilier than the US's W. was, though no less ridiculous when examined closely. And we've got our own election coming up soon. Sadly, way too many people actually vote for ridiculous nutjobs. Hopefully sanity will prevail, but the last few decades of politics have burnt me right out in terms of hoping for a return to sanity.
