Why not just make it a setting to be turned on and off in the game creation screen. This isn't a difficult thing to code. And then if you don't like it, just don't play with it on.

To those suggesting we use 3 day boots:

I know that's the best solution now, I'm just saying it would be nice to keep a faster paced game during the week without having to worry about taking turns on the weekends. That way you don't have to wait 3 days when you have a ton of down time

Sadly Diplomatic Immunity you have no idea what you're talking about. Having been a member of Poonsquad for a couple of months now, ive not witnessed ONE player being booted by any of the clan.
I guess you're a bandwagon troll that simply takes rumor and embellishes it.
Also...Of course you think anyone is worse than someone with a high boot rate. Just one glance at yours tells the whole story

I support the original idea (stop boot timer on weekends). I don't think this is such a niche case - IMHO a lot of people want to get some time without Warlight on weekends (or may even have no internet, e.g. multi-day camping in the summer).

At the same time 3-day boots may seem too slow for some as well, and trying to negotiate this complicated "don't boot me on weekend" with every single player you play against is complicated and you will get occasionally booted anyway. Any implementation should work, and timezones are not a big deal, as if you have a 1 day (or 1d 10h) boot times it does not matter if the timer stops mid day on Friday or mid day on Saturday - either way you'll be able to take a turn on Friday, and timer wont expire by the time Monday kicks in. No one is claiming this is the most important update in the queue (though I'm sure those affected would like this much more than most other things in the list), but it will make life so much simpler for some people, and it is easy to implement - why so much animosity in the thread?

1) If a workday-play/weekend-dont-play-feature would be implemented, the opposite should be implemented as well(only play weekends/sundays).
But i think that it would be too much feature creep,
making the game more complicated for newer players.

2)Banking Boot Times!!
With BBT on 50%, if you take your turn quickly for 5 turns, you get an extra two or two-and-a-half turns by BBT, enough to cover the weekend i 'd say.
BBT works well, only with more then 2 players you have to decrease the percentage a bit.

I'd say 3 day autoboot or banking boot times is the way to go.

Fiddle with the settings until you get it just right and then make it "standard" - post about it here in the thread, and it will catch on gradually.

Hmm, right, banking boot times up to ~3 days makes the most sense, and with proper settings will let you have any game speed on average, but with ability to take a few days off (e.g. on a weekend, but not only) if you play fast (e.g. on weekdays)
