Hey guys since Mr. Gentleman isn't here to make the Fantasy league I decided I would. If you want to play some fantasy football just give me a mail and I'll send you the link and password. I'd like to live draft and have set it up for September 5th in the afternoon for EDT, but can obviously change that if I need to. There's not going to be any buy-in and I'm going to run it through NFL.com's system.

I have it set for 12 managers only atm, but can expand this to suit our needs. If you have any questions mail them to me as well. In this thread to keep it bumped, make some predictions on who's going to the Super Bowl this season.

I predict that Andrew Luck goes absolutely insane this year and goes to the Super Bowl to play against the Packers. Colts vs Packers with Colts winning it. It's my bold prediction, but I think Andrew Luck is an absolute monster Quarterback and has an insane lineup. The Seahawks are still relevant but I think that the league is starting to figure out how to play against them.

Did I miss something? When did the Colts get a run D and competent coaching?

They drafted plenty of defensive players, and cleanly got into the playoffs last year. They have Andre Johnson and some interesting running backs who could go off. So their offense is 100% solid. Are you being sarcastic about their coaching? Because I would take Colts coaching over at least 50% of the entire league. They're competent enough to make the Super Bowl. You have the Broncos, Pats, Ravens/Steelers who are the top dogs with the Colts in the AFC. Colts can easily win back-to-back games against any of those 4, with Pats probably being the hardest due to Belichik being a genius.

As a Texans fan, I object to the thought of a Colts vs. Packers Super Bowl.

That said, Luck vs. Rodgers would be absolutely amazing.

Not at all sarcastic.
When a team is able to use the exact same gameplan against you three times in a row and you do nothing to adapt then you have a coaching problem.

If the Colts weren't in the incompetent AFC South (sorry Texans fans) they wouldn't march into the playoffs quite so easily.

+1 Richard Sharpe

I'm sorry but Colts got nothing on the Pats, period. To argue otherwise would be simply (as Stephen A. Smith likes to say) blasphemous.

Also while I completely understand that it is hard for mere mortals to beat the genius football guru known as Bill Belichick, there is 0 excuse for not changing or adapting your gameplay each time you faced New England. I'm sorry but as far as I'm concerned, the Colts coaching staff are wholly incompetent and embarrassing when faced with real adveristy.

I think there is a good chance the Colts go far next season with their offense (Andrew Luck is actually one of my favorite QBs, behind Brady of course), but if I'm an Indy fan I would be praying to the Football gods to let my team avoid Belichick and the Pats.

@ The Glorious Koala

They're talking about US football.
Which is quite confidential for us Europeans but a pretty big deal (and a spectacular sport too)for our american buddies.

Live draft on Labor day weekend might be a bad idea. Personally, I will be camping.

I'd do it if not live (I know, not as fun), or if at a better time for me.

You could try doing an offline draft (via chat game on here) and then enter that info into the site. Not sure if you could get it done in a timely manner though on here. If you gave everyone a couple hours to make their pick, you'd at worst get 1 round done a day. Just auto pick from ranking if someone misses their 2 hour window. I know that would work better for me, or anyone that uses mobile to play WL, they'd see new chats in that game. If someone can't make their 2 hour slot, then they can PM you their player list for that pick.

So like this:
Day 1:
Player 1 6am-8am
Player 2 8am-10am
Player 3 10am-12am
Player 4 12am-2pm
Player 5 2pm-4pm
Player 6 4pm-6pm
Player 7 6pm-8pm
Player 8 8pm-10pm
Player 9 10pm-12pm
Player 10 12pm-2am

If anyone picks right before you, you can make your pick immediately, you don't have to wait. But you are not auto drafted for until you miss you assigned slot.

So if you do a round a day, you'd need to get that started pretty soon as it would take a couple weeks to get a full roster. You could also shorten to 1 hr slot and get it done in a week. I bet most would just pick ahead of their slot and do it pretty fast anyway.

^ That could be a way of doing the draft. We do have 11 days and that's a possibility as well.

I played fantasy football (usually 3 or 4 leagues a year) for probably 10 years before not playing the last couple because some friends lost interest.

I have always wanted to do an offline one because usually you have 2-3 that can't make the live one, get auto drafted and have a big disadvantage. Then you may have those people lose interest and not set lineups.

i played a dynasty baseball league for years that used a timer for picks, was set at 2 hours for each pick daytime then timers were paused overnight. It did take ages, and not sure how easy it would be to set up, that league was on CBS.. but it really was great fun waiting for your turn and with plenty of time to analyse your next pick.
some days we would get like 20 picks in, some days only 6 or 7. I can certainly reccomend doing it this way if it can be worked out

colts use the same game plan almost every game because they are extremely one dimensional. have you seen them try to run the ball? its pathetic.

but im a colts fan so i am rooting for them. my prediction is the colts lose to the patriots in the afc championship game, brady gets murdered by a crazed hoosier, and then the patriots still beat the seahawks in the superbowl for the lolz.

So, I would suggest doing my chat game method, but restrict the hours to times that people can actually get on hopefully (like my 6am to 2am example). It will be impossible to please everyone on there, but if you allow away picks (submitting a list of players), then it will be fine.

Just use snake method like all other drafts, so the 10th player in round 1 gets 1st pick (11th overall) in 2nd round.

You could even invite a moderator that is on often if someone is worried about you stealing their pick (if they sent a list).

Aaron Rodgers is still better than Luck imo. As a Bears fan that takes a lot for me to say but turtle you guys have my favorite player, mega. Told the gf that is the one guy she can sleep with, as long as I get to hang out with him.
