Sure why not. (That'd be spamming, so I probably won't)
And just because it was common place does not mean it is right and it does not mean it should be forgotten.

Comodus Despite being a complete coward, he adored gladiatorial combat and would have cripples and undesirables rounded up and lashed together into ungainly ‘giants’ for him to slay in the coliseum.you know those things called gladiators that fought to the death for entertainment ?

The Ottoman Empire originated from the "Osman" Empire in Anatolia, so they are not European.(but to appease you I will cover the Ottoman Empire, Oman and US.)

Caligula’s favourite torture/execution method involved fileting the condemned with a saw-blade from spine, to crotch, to chest. Excess blood in the brain prevented unconsciousness and death could take hours. As a pastime between executions, Caligula also enjoyed chewing up the testicles of his victims - while still alive, of course.

The Roman historian Tacitus notes that even prepubescent boys were raped en masse by Roman officers during the Revolt of Batavi. So yes genghis these are some evidence of many that the Romans committed war crimes and was an appalling civilisation

From the sack of Ancient Carthage after the Third Punic War, and the annihilation of Ilurgia, to the Gallic genocides, and the relentless persecution of ethnic Jews - the Romans responded to any hint of rebellion from perceived ‘inferiors’ with utter liquidation.By the fall of the Empire, the Romans had slaughtered around 8 million people, a staggering number considering the inefficiency of ancient war technologies. Galgacus, a Caledonian chief, summarised Roman military strategy and imperial subjugation, when he said, ‘Where they make a desert, they call it peace.’

Looks like some of them Romans just needed a good woman. Amiright? :D

Seriously though they've been out in the field for too long for that to happen.

Roman war crimes are laughable compared to most. It took them 1000 years to do what many did in 5 or 10. Very clean record. Gladiatorial combat is not necessarily a war crime, but it certainly isn't humane.

Caligula being inhumane was basically just in Caligula's reign. Caligula was quite literally the worst, and after him there really wasn't anyone as terrible. And you didn't mention any war crimes, and Caligula's actions are necessarily atrocities still, just very inhumane.

Rape is the only war crime you could come up with, so that's 3 war crimes. Also, you say Ancient Carthage, but I will correct you in that Carthage is of Classical Antiquity, not Ancient.

Cleansing the Gauls? The Gauls and Rome were at war, I'd say most of those casualties were from the slaughters Romans could pull off at battles.

So what we have is Raping and Ethnically Cleansing the Jews and burning the city of Carthage to the ground.

Not to mention, Romans' contributions far outweigh any war crimes. As I said, 8 million in 1000 years, when it only took 15 years for them to kill 350,000 in war it doesn't seem illogical that they could have killed all those people in battles, and not as war atrocities.

8,000,000 / 1000 = 8000 every year. Not awful.

The Ottoman atrocities ranged from raiding and killings to large scale enslavement, "Pagan Zanj" (Bantu) were often kidnapped and mutilated and then sold in slave markets. There were so many sold that there is now a sizeable Afro-Turkish population in Turkey.

Oman and Muscat atrocities in Africa came from when Oman
occupied Portuguese colonies near the Great Lakes Region and started to engage in the slave trade as well.

Why are we still bitching? (Rhetorical, not sassy) Let it go. It happened, get over it. We compensated, we apologized. As long as it doesn't happen again. We've seen the horrors, so anyone with any sanity will stop. And the rest need to be dealt with, preferably in a psychiatric ward.

This follows my general theme on this forum. Keep it in. If we all stop complaining about "Racism" or "The Confederate Flag" or "Religious Equality" we might live in a nicer place. You can have your own opinion. Just don't shove it down my throat.

And this was a thread I made to do a little educating on a subject that I think is under represented , then you come and start yelling about how I want to execute and enslave Europeans.

I guess you were so busy being whiny that you missed the bit where I said, and I quote:
"If there's some good reason behind this, I apologize,"

I'm not American, and while 9/11 was terrible, the problem was partially solved, and it hasn't happened again in such a large manner. You don't see posts detailing the Armenian Genocide, or the Spanish Inquisition

Given you were complaining about my response, I consider that whining. But I'm done arguing this subject, as you don't seem to care, and are now only attacking me, rather than refuting my points. Goodbye.

First you say I want to murder people, then you say I am shoving my opinion down your throat then you call me whiny and when I call you it you say I'm just calling you names. Well I think I should start calling you names, it's more polite then what you've been doing to me.
