Apex has no rivals because no one is even close to touching us competitively.

I'm not missed anymore, I've been gone for a long time now. Anyhow, this is what Harthacanute told me ~2 months after I left.

Ahh very informative Kapy you covered your tenure in 3 clans. Very impressive and slightly boisterous, someone else wanna give it a go?

The bigger/infamous clans have more complex histories and the story would probably be different depending on who was telling it. Everyone is naturally biased, it's what make us human, so I think it would be beneficial to obtain as many viewpoints as possible.

The Juggernauts have had a relatively stable if not boring history for the year or so that I've been a part of the clan. The only events of note was our failed attempt at creating a leadership structure (Technically it still exists as we all have our titles and such but we don't do anything with it) and a rivalry with the Poon Squad which was pretty intense for awhile.

Although that said we're pretty active in a number of games, so it's not a dead clan or anything. There's just not much drama to speak of.

Expanding back from Eklipse:

When I joined a few years ago, the clan had a semi-public alliance with the WL (Warlighters), which clan I believe is now dead (along with aforementioned alliance).

When the creator (Soviet Juggernaut) retired, he passed leadership on to Fire_mad32 Juggernaut, who had a brief tenure before retiring as well due to college.

The 3rd and current leader, Russian, is the one who was incumbent when the clan tags were added, and has done much to organize and expand the clan, including an external website (link is currently broken), and an attempt at a subleadership structure.

Around this time, the Poon Squad became a subject of major debate, with Eklipse weighing in heavily-and accidentally injuring the pride of one of the PS leaders.

Thus was born one of the few current clan rivalries. The Juggernauts lost the initial clan battle, but have won every successive one to my knowledge.

There was an internal spat at some point between the clan battles with PS and current where several members were offended and left, including Wicked Graceling, InFAMOUS, and another whose name I cannot remember. To date, I think all 3 have returned.

That's all the history I know of.

We may be struggling a bit, but we are certainly not dead.

Could you chat with me in private about the details of the old alliance? Arun didn't tell me about it, i should know this :)

InFAMOUS never left. He's still semi-active in a few games here and there. Wicked and SKay I'm sorry to say are probably gone for good. They've simply lost too much interest.

You know. ..you could all join Mongols. We're a non exclusive clan and support the idea to not give a f*ck about clan organization and instead just play the damn game!

this thread is BY FAR the silliest thing ive ever read. (not directed to the people writing here, just to the events described).

knyte, and other people in corp, if there was any wolf involvement in drama with you, i was totally unaware. but i suspect certain people kept things secret from me cause my main task in clan "government" was trying to get people to quit doing dumb stuff like this and focus on making a good gaming environment.

im an old fogey and i don't play any other games on the internet, is this typical behavior for teens now?

From what I could make of it, is some people from Wolves attacking CORP for "stealing" (doubt this actually happened. I'd recommend the phrase "their members changing clans") their members. I wasn't there when it happened, but I definitely know that some players have come from wolves... for example "[WOLF]CopperTitanium". I don't know, perhaps the Wolves were just being immature about it, as I say, I wasn't there at the time.

EDIT: (Also knyte joined the clan 2 months before I did).

It's pretty much typical behavior for the internet in general.

All this random drama in your "histories" yeah, its a cool feature, but I'm fairly sure clans like USSR, The Mongols, and some of the competitive clans don't have much, given their relative stability *Cough* reasonable leadership *Cough* Also, the small clans won't have much either.

There's some drama in the competitive clans, too. *cough* https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=907472903 *cough* You just don't hear about it as much because most of the competitive players know how to settle conflict like adults.

Not really. xD

Illuminati's past generation had drama. Our current generation is relatively well-behaved.

You forgot the part of the Falcon history when I join & start a political party that eventually overthrows colonel for being a tyrannical whore. (If you know colonel then you know this was no easy task as he would go to great lengths to keep his power)

@shyb:

That's been my exact impression of your leadership since at least March. Hence my doubt that Colonel was actually speaking for you. Maelstrom et all. made it pretty clear that the Wolves are hellbent on fixing any internal gameplay problems, something I commend your (former) clan for.

@Genghis:

An often-forgotten fact is that these management structures exist (at least in theory) to amplify a clan's ability to contribute to its members within the game and handle necessary decision-making tasks that also contribute to the clan's core activity. These aren't things made "just because." In the case of CORP, our decentralized structure was put in place to allow the clan to scale while still maintaining inter-member familiarity and helping members improve themselves as players. The GC exists not for fancy Japanese titles that meant nothing more than "advisor" but to refine clan policy (for example, improving how we dealt with alt accounts of non-member mains in order to best understand how we could improve as a clan; or changing our membership/expulsion guidelines to better contribute to community norm enforcement which ultimately makes the game more playable). The dojo system isn't a rehash of Wolf fleets or Falcon parties but instead a way for all members with initiative to contribute toward the clan's core mission of gameplay and improvement- e.g., by running monthly tournaments on various templates or by designing and playing on interesting RP templates that modeled a historical or fictional scenario.

In short, CORP is about gameplay, not politics, and I believe that its ability to scale and maintain member familiarity, as well as its unusually high rate of activity (compared to other RP clans, at least) reflect that. Even the Achilles incident is overblown af- no one outside the clan would know about it if I didn't mention it, most of the clan didn't know about it, and it was wrapped up in a few hours with no impact on clan operation).

So don't knock management structures as a whole to make your clan look more worthwhile.
