If a parent thinks their child is ready for what ever game it is they should be able to buy it for their child. Whether it's a game that's selling point is boob physics, playing a thug in a military uniform in the middle east, or a thug in a hoodie shouldn't matter. If the parent says yes then it should be yes (unless local laws strictly prohibit it)

also if you feel a game (like HALO) is not bad enough to be M then it is fine

I think it depends on the game and the kid. I've met 10 year olds that make you feel like you're talking to another adult. It should be the parent's decision but I do think that some kids can handle it.

I played my dad's PS2 Medal of Honor games (they were actually good back then, although Halo 2 is better) at the age of seven (used to sneak out of bed to watch him play and occasionally get a turn) and I don't kill people for fun or anything.

It depends on the specific content and the age. I think most teenagers can handle anything you might see in a Rated M game. However, it's definitely for the best to not have Kindergartners playing GTA or DOOM. (Assuming they could even figure out how to effectively play those games.)

My sis let my nephew play GTA when he was 4. My cousin did the same.
There both sociopaths.

In all seriousness I got an old PS2 a couple of months ago with GTA San Andreas. The guy had around 100M so he had completed everything... I just ran around getting shot for no reason.

Kids should be allowed to play whatever they want so long as their parents allow it. Simple as that. First the government will want to regulate what games your kid can play and then they start considering 26 year olds kids (ACA) and then a lot of our first amendment rights go out the window.
Im not a conspiracy theorist. I'm just speculating so take it with a grain of salt.
